Yeah, it was a good fight but far from great and definitly didn't live up to expectations. Too one-sided and the Juarez-Barrios fight was better. The scorecards in both fights were awful as well. Katsidis and Juarez both may have won about 3 rounds apiece but the judges had Juarez ahead on all 3 and Diaz won by close split decision. Good fights, not up to expectations, and bad scoring but atleast the right guys gott the wins.
They had Juarez up on 2 of the 3 cards, the 3rd was a draw and Diaz was robbed of a UD but they were good fights especially the Barrios vs Juarez fight.Maybe the Diaz vs Kats fight didn't live up cuz it wa shyped to much,we expected to much
I think you're right about the hype making the Diaz-Katsidis fight impossible to live up to and it was a good fight. The one-sidedness of the fight is the main reason I think it wasn't as good as hoped. Scoring was bad but the right fighters won which is the important thing.
Not bad, but not as good as it could've been- Diaz is just the better fighter. Damn Katsidis' corner blows though, they weren't exactly doing him any favors.
It's always great to see someone's face used as a punching bag. Poor Katsidis really needs to work on his D. Should proly stop going for the KO all night too, maybe work on the body a bit.
It was a very good fight, the hype surrounding it made us think that it will be 2 gods fighting to the death
Diaz-Katsidis was just one sided enough to earn a split decision. I guess overall it was a good night of boxing, but no matter what I do, when I think about last night, the first thing I think about is how bad the judges scorecards were. Sad commentary on boxing, isn't it.
I'll admit that I enjoyed the Juarez/Barrios fight a lot more than the Diaz/Kats fight.. Maybe because Diaz was clearly winning the fight despite the poor judging.. And even though Barrios seemed like he was winning the fight, despite the scorecards, Juarez who was basically fighting Barrios' fight throughout the night was able to cut him up something bad and get the knock down before the doctor stopped the fight.. Good night of boxing and props to all four fighters.. I say bring on Juan Diaz vs Anthony Peterson and Michael Katsidis vs David Diaz..
One-sided beatings are only good to watch if you are a fan of the boxer who was doing the beating. Having said that, I thought I was bored watching that fight. The Diaz win and the easy way he handled Kats was expected; you would think it was scripted.
