It was a ****in war! Possible fight of the year. Morales didn't look prime, but he went out swinging. Most folks including myself had him winning at the end. Sad that the judges didn't give it to him, but he definitely didn't get his ass kicked like many predicted.
    He will be remembered.

Awesome fight for Morales to go out with, shame about the result.

I thought he won a close decision and was suprised that a no-name fighter like Diaz was the one to have it fall in his favour.
    Dont usually see that.

    They slugged it out sometimes.
But Morales boxed real well, especially in the mid rounds.
Also dropped an over anxious Diaz with a right hand early in the fight.

Diaz is fairly limited and Morales showed that but David certainly has an iron will and a good body attack.

Many close rounds, so I wasn't 1000% confident in my scoring, but still confident.
    Here's my scorecard:

    1. 10-8 Morales
    2. 9-10 Diaz
    3. 10-9 Morales
    4. 9-10 Diaz
    5. 10-9 Morales
    6. 10-9 Morales
    7. 9-10 Diaz
    8. 10-10
    9. 10-9 Morales
    10. 10-9 Morales
    11. 9-10 Diaz
    12. 9-10 Diaz

    115-113 Morales

Overall, Diaz was the aggressor but Morales was landing clean punches, even when he was dead tired.
Guys sitting around me scored it nearly identical to me (one guy had an extra 10-10 round, making his 115-114 Morales....another scored round 5 10-10 but round 8 10-9 for Morales, so 115-113 Morales like mine....couple others didn't score any 10-10 rounds, so 115-112 for Morales).

damn, I wouldve loved Morales to get that 4th division title, but I know he wouldve continued fighting...maybe losing a close decision was the best possible scenario

i hope morales goes back to 130, rapes paper chump mzonke fana, who got ktfo by mab, then retire.

i don't care if the anorexic morales shows up at 130, it will still be enough to win the title from fana.

Morales gave a great account of himself even in defeat. He was the classier boxer. Diaz has grit though. Good fight. Morales surpised me. Really close fight.

It could've gone either way... I thought Morales did enough though to win it...

It was a good and well entertaining bout, but not a very good one. Morales seamed to be shot and was too passive, while D.Diaz lacks of skill.

Diaz is three months older than Morales.
