when you are puttin on a performance and blueprint to defeating someone who dubs himself the king only to lose on account of some unctrollable urge to hit someone during a slip ( you watched the fight right? id you see his reaction to falling? it was a slip...during no pressure..or punches) and your whole masterpiece that you just did is taken away from you...in your hometown...(this was going to be his biggest accompishment in the ring) yeah... i can understand him wanting to get away from everyone... and being as upset as he was.
apparently it does matter, take a look at sotto-lorenzo fiasco. sotto clearly hit lorenzo while he was down. that merits a penalty. what penalty? depends. Had lorenzo got up and says he will continue, that would make ref slap only a point deduction to sotto and at the end of the day, the right man will win. but what lorenzo did was stay down (CLEARLY CAN CONTINUE), the ref has no choice but to disqualify sotto. so in the dirrel fight, if he was really acting (IF). that's a disgrace because he could've gotten up and gave abraham the chance he deserves (as eze was saying, he was getting tagged more and more)
laid down? from what? Abrahams beating? Dirrell had no choice? not even a rocked shot that made him think twice to submit and lay down. your buggin bro we know you are a big Arthur Abraham fan now. I just don't know if you are a "boxing" fan
he was crying because he supposedly thought he lost, after he was announced the winner he still said he lost and got KOed, then a second later said he got hit after the bell, the whole circumstance was a very strange, im not saying he was exaggerating or not, no one really knows but him, but his action were strange, ive never seen a guy get hit, look up at the guy who hit him, touch his face, THEN become KOed after falling softly to the floor and trembling, then well after coming through still not knowing what happened even after being told multiple times and announced the winner, but then a split second later stating you got hit after the bell......all very strange he did outbox the **** outta abraham though which shouldnt get lost in this whole fiasco
??? :rofl Says the guy who is clearly HATING on Arthur Abraham. I won points and money on Dirrell, smart guy. Way to FAIL.
It wasn't fake, Dirrell was confused and dazed from a punch he had no idea would be thrown. Arthur just ****ed up that's all. End of story. No need for all you internet warriors to be calling either of these two men pussies. They were the ones doing the fighting afterall and we were doing the watching. And we judge them?
I watched the replay I dunno how many times. My impression is now as it was after I saw it in real time... Dirrell was KTFO. Just because his hands moved toward his face doesn't mean he was faking... He didn't see that shot coming. Look at Ray Mercer's KO of Tommy Morrison.. Morrison can be seen a few seconds after the KO on the stool still covering up and attempting to slip shots as the ring doctor and ref were working on him.
eze...you really think he would throw away that performance..in the 11th...when he still got gas in the tank and is beating abraham to the punch? then decide to slip? and chuck his chin up ...get hit...then pretend to be convulsing in his hometown? and then cry in front of everyone? he never wanted any of that to happen...he didn't need to bail out or be saved.
Abraham blasts shots that will put you out....plain and simple. Dirrell never got caught like that during the fight till he was paused in motion from the slip. that shot looked like it would have spun his head around.
i dont feel he decided to slip, that happened. When he got hit, he took advantage of the situation. Smart move. crying in front of everyone makes him look better after he was clearly hit with a very late punch.
snake you sound just as ridiculous as the people that claim it was fact he was acting, you cant honestly say it wasnt strange the way everything unfolded after the punch, is it really so far out of the realm of possibility?
I really don't understand the big fuss. He got hit illegally and was ko'ed. That was not fake what so ever. It is something you do automatically is to put your hands up. Look at Simon Brown vs Pettway. Brown was knockout and he was still throwing punches as he was unconsious.
