not sure about that... AA was coming on, had him down the previous round, and it would have been long 4 minutes... and yes, that hit was a DQ, no question about it. You don't need to be a psychologist to understand that AD's behaviour was odd, even for someone with a possible concussion. He seemed to act like a kid, scared to death but finding a way to get compassion from the people around him and avoid the unpleasant consequences. Do you need to act? No... Has he acted... it's probably completely irrelevant (as DQ would come anyway) but it can only hurt Dirrel. What a disappointing night.
I dont know if he acted or not and no one else here does, only Dirrell knows. But this garbage about how AA was rightly DQ'd is total hypocrisy. Best decision would of been a NC.
Peeps here cry and ***** when Soto gets DQ'd for hitting Lorenzo when he was clearly down, dont say **** when Margo hits Cotto when hes clearly down but pound their chests in anger when AA hits Dirrell when hes down. neither were really intentional, in fact lets look at Barrera's KD of JMM when this site was complaining it should of been ruled a KD when Barrera was more on grounds to be DQ'd than the 3 above fighters. 3:50 [yt]4Gi55n0a4kk[/yt]
I've give you the line right here.... Europeans (particularly Brits who still hate on Dirrell for the whole froch controversy) side with it beng fake... and everyone else who resides in the realm of reality knows that it was for real.
The fact that he pulls his hand up to his face (natural reaction) then goes with the ''ill pretend to be ko'd'' by dropping his hand straight after, tells me it was fake, you dont get delayed KO's, you are ko'd or your not. I think he cheated and not because im a Frochite.
I'm a European and i don't like Brits very much including Froch, I DO like Dirrell (when he fights). But its obvious that Dirrell wasn't hurt. I believe he looked up after the punch an seen that AA was blocking Coles view of him, so threw himself to the canvas instead of fighting the rest of the fight. AA can have no complaints but anyone that is neutral can clearly see Dirrell took the easy way out.
I'm not 100% convinced by the 'KO' either, but in all fairness they say it's the punches you dont see coming that knock you out
