It's possible. Everyone reacts different to being KO'd and although i've never seen someone get so actively worked up after it, that doesn't mean it's not possible. The DQ verdict was fair. One more thing. I really loved this fight from the 3rd round on. A classic mover vs puncher scrap and especially going into the championship rounds, it was extremely exciting with the momentum going to AA while being down on the scorecards by a wide margin. AA robbed us of a great fight and himself of a potential win. Can't say i blame him though, it's that puncher's instinct... RJJ also had it against Griffin. The rematch, now or after the tournament, would be HUGE.
Spot on. Thats why I don't really hold anything against AA. If he had pulled the punch the commentators would have probably said he did well not to hit him.
perhaps someone who studys medicine can put some clarity into this for me but the convulsions he was doing dont make sense at all, he still had control use of his muscles to cover his head seconds after the hit. It would of been more convincing if he had his eyes open too. You dont just get KTFO the way it looked and sit right up as though nothing had happened seconds later.
What makes you think i'm rationalizing that shot, when i opened with: " -Abraham was rightfully disqualified; whether Dirrel was acting or not, he took a HARD, illegal shot flush on the jaw." ? The classic reaction to getting KO is being really slow and quiet. Watch Jones after Johnson. Lewis after Rahman, Chambers after Wlad, etc etc. I'm not saying this proofs Dirrel faked it, but it is circumstancial evidence against him regardless of how you look at it. True, it could've been a delayed reaction. COULD'VE. But let me ask you, how many leg twitching KO's/knocked out cold cases can you think of, where one fighter was clearly conscious for one second, but then completely out of it? And then rolling over after only 4 seconds? How many that were out COLD positioned an arm in such a way to land well - a natural reaction when you're not KO'd - ? When a guy is lying on the canvas like that, of course a doctor isn't going to say "he's faking it". Yeah, i feel sorry for his family, just like i did for Chamber's family last week. It sucks but it's a part of boxing.
Look, I've been an EMT for 4 years, I have seen alot of concussions in my day. Everything that Dirrell went through after the fight was textbook concussion. Here are some symptoms: Confusion/Disorientation Amnesia Headache Dizziness Nausea Slurred speech Concentration problems Irritability (If you don't believe me google concussion symptoms) The ones in bold are the ones I notced after Dirrel got up and was being interviewed. Not all cases are exactly the same but have more or less these same symptoms and sometimes more. Dirrell was not faking it!
So we agree even u don't think he had amnesia. The thing is that there are things that didn't look right ...maybe someone with medical knowledge can clarify this
Direll is clearly ****ed up when Jim Grey tries to interview him. He thinks he lost. He thinks he's been knocked out.
Faking amnesia ...the guy is not credible. How many boxers did u see that had amnesia and how many of those where walking an yearling in the ring after the ko and how many where released from hospital that quick and tested normal like nothing happen ?
