There is nothing to improve. You cant just make a fighter have great footwork, you just cant make a fighter have great speed. If you believe this to be true, show me an example. Abraham is a limited fighter, he fights the way he does because its the only way he can win without exposing his flaws, against Dirrell even when he did open up and come forward he still wasnt landing much, why? Poor footwork and not enough speed.
Is it fair to say that you believe it's patently obvious that he's faking? If that's the case, then you have to wonder why not one credible sportswriter or boxing expert agrees with your analysis. Take EastSideBoxing. Not one of the front page articles gives any credence to the "acting" story. Nor does ESPN, yahoo sports, or any other credible news sources. So if it's obvious, why are people having such a hard time seeing what you see?
I wonder do people who think Dirrell was faking thought Griffin faked his KO as well...It amazes me how people will stoop so low!atsch
I have never seen a fighter with poor footwork becoming a fighter with good footwork, let alone great footwork. I have never seen a slow fighter become fast. I have never seen a brawler become a top level boxer puncher unless they already had the tools in place. And Abraham doesnt. Give me one example and I'd be inclined to entertain the thought.
Rocky Balboa, under the tutelage of Apollo Creed, dramatically improved his footwork and maybe even his speed. Generally speaking, though, pretty hard to train a boxer to be "fast". Otherwise, everybody would be as fast a Manny Pacquiao -- they just train real really hard on "speed".
Also to add given that AA hasnt been working on this in the past...I agree, I doubt he's going to get it know...Hence the term " You cant teach an old dog new tricks":good
Pacquiaos a good example. Roach is been with Pacquiao for a long ass time now, and just within the last couple of years he's learned to sit down on his jab, throw the right hook and after finishing his assault step to the side to avoid retaliation. and thats Manny Pacquiao a fighter who even at a young age had blazing speed, power and good footwork. Whats Abraham gonna learn at 30?
well alright, I can't find anything in any of these responses to the argument I sighted, that has not been dealt with effectively. Anger, emotion, name calling and reposting refuted arguments aren't convincing. I'm going to take the argument to others in the boxing community and see what they feel about it and see if I myself cannot find anything substantial to refute the argument I sighted. You guys get so frustrated and emotional...its pretty funny when I think about it. Here, I will rephrase again and try to simplify even more Delayed Reaction KO Convulsions when Unconscious Momentary recovery No evidence of concussion - zero. Surely in the tens of thousands of recorded boxing matches there must be at least a few hundred examples of this? The, "there is a first time for everything" argument doesn't sit too well and I hope, I really do, hope you can see why without me having to walk you through that one. Guiys who got knocked out and had a delayed reaction to it? Did they ever have convulsions? Guys who had convulsions did they ever have such rapid recovery? And have no sign of a concussion. NOw come on lets not get all emotional. "**** you stovepipe you filthy *******!" How about instead, "Yes, here are fights A, B, C, D, and E" a delayed reaction convulsed fighter with rapid recovery and no concussion. Happens all the time! Or how about, happens occassionally! What is troubling is "never happens in the entire history of the sport, nobody shares Delayed Reaction KO Convulsions when Unconscious Momentary recovery No evidence of concussion - zero. I can hear it now "**** you stove i shown you already you inane. first time for everything. fan man happened you going to say thats fake? abraham broke his jaw was that fake too stovepipe?" jesus h christ
No chance he was fakin it. He took a punch flush on the jaw while he was on his ass with his hands down and cudnt even tense up 2 take the punch and he was trembling and helped to his feet. AA was bein took 2 skool and cudnt take it. Classless if u ask me.
This has got to be one of the most suprising poll results i have ever seen on this forum, i cannot believe so many people think he faked it.
do you think he would have tried to get up if it was a legit punch? if so, he was acting to a degree at least.
I dont know. I like AD. Id hate to say he was faking it and him be seriously hurt. I wouldnt wish that on anyone. Ive watched the replay a million times from every angle. I hate to say it, but it definitely looks suspect. AA is a fierce puncher and he did hit him clean. But the punch didnt really seem like it was that hard of a punch. The look on AD's face afterwards was kinda like eh, whatever...then he drops down, then starts convulsing etc...Ive seen delayed reactions but not like that before. Then be ok a few minutes later? Again I hate to say it, and no one knows for sure but him...but I think he might have played it out.
no doubt in my mind that it dirrell faked it... The reaction he gave right after he got hit wasnt of a person who got ktfo.. how do you get convulsions and memory loss and come out of the hospital perfectly fine. no ****ing way
I know you wanted him to be brain damaged and crippled when he got out of the hospital, but most around are happy he seems to be OK.
