Was Dmitri Pirog on his way to getting robbed on Saturday night (07/31/10)?

You need to start watching more boxing dude seriously. Rd no 2 was all Pirog ( could of been called a KD, ropes was the only thing holiding that boy ) Rd no 3 was all Jacobs Those two are a given. Now Rd1 and 4 are a bit more trickier... Rd1= in my opinion was Pirog. End-swell was used on Jacob after the first RD! That tell u something! He got busted with at least 2 good rights. Rd4= could of gone either way. and was a swing round.

    Had it 3-1 Jacobs.

Pirog probably would have started winning as things progressed, but really, who gives a ****? He KO'd Jacobs. End of story. No need to talk about all these "What If..." situations.

You say I need to watch more boxing but then you only disagree with one round? I said the first round was close and could have gone either way. endwells dont mean you lost the round.

2 - 2 to me pretty clearly tbh ... i fail to see how anyone could score the 4th to Jacobs.

    1 - 3 for Jacobs.
    2 - 4 for Pirog

I think someone could be forgiven for giving the 2nd 10 - 8 for Pirog.

Oh and just to add ..... while 3 - 1 Jacobs is not a outlandish stretch (actually it might be) The fact that all 3 judges scored the 4th for Jacobs kinda tells me there is no way Pirog could have won a decision if the fight was close.

I had it 2-2. These threads are proof that ESB will look to create a conspiracy out of anything.

If you gave Pirog 3, or 4 rounds, gtfo.

2-2 is fair. to say 3-1 Jacob is just trying to say that he was losing before getting a lucky KO. Which of course is total BS. If you had to pick which guy you wanted to be before the start of the 5th rd? Pirog or Jacob.....................I know which guy I would take, and it woudnt be Jacob.

pirog is class. think this guy will go a long way. strange style for a european, thought he took a good calculated risk goin to the states to fight jacob. how anybody had jacob 3-1 up astounds me. shameful judging i thought.

Actually this was the point I was hoping to make with this thread. The fact that the official judges were watching a totally different fight than most of us, and the matter of the fact is that Pirog may of well have lost if the fight had continued at its current pace before the KO.

Pirog always looked more comfortable in there to me, but he didn't throw all that much. I can see a case for giving 3 of the rounds to Jacobs on activity. 2-2 was how I had it though.

    "all of us"??

Most of us think 2-2 or even 3-1 is fair. Even as Jacobs was winning rounds, most thought he looked to be big trouble. That's the point. To draw a conclusion about the judging after 1/3rd of the fight is odd.

I hit the wrong answer. I had the fight even, 2 rounds apiece. But Pirog was dictating the flow of the fight and clearly beginning to enforce his will. I believe it was a matter of time before Pirog won.

I still really like Jacobs and hope he is recovering with his family and comes back stronger.
