Was Donaire over hyped or just got beat by an A-class fighter?

I feel it's a combination of both, because i never felt Donaire was near the likes of Ward & so on. But on the other hand, Rigo is one of the best cuban boxer ever made, so there is no shame in losing to Rigo. But the excuses he made after the fight was just a disgrace.

Beaten by a fighter on a different planet.

Donaire has beaten world class fighters on a consistent basis and he will continue to do so.

You don't beat Darchinyan, Mthelane, Tyson, Sidorenko, Narvaez, Montiel Mathebula and Nishioka, a wide range of excellent fighters if you're hype.

    Leaning towards hype.

Donaire looks more and more like a left hook happy counter-plodder.

With no right hand to speak of.

Donaire was and is an elite fighter.

He just got beaten by a freak.

Donaire spent the last few years destroying the best between 115-122.

Donaire was ranked way to high on the p4p list but was defo top 10 p4p on merit. I never believed the rigo hype until I saw a real name on his resume. Last night I witness greatness. rigo should be ranked higher than broner.

Rigo is a class operator though.
Every punch in the book. Great movement, awareness, snd timing. Shame about thst cheern though.

Should of stayed as an amateur, hes a bit boring for this pro game tbh

Beaten by a special talent. Don't discredit Donaire, give all the credit to Rigondeaux.
