A racial stereotype is (for instance) saying to a Taffy ''get back to shagging sheep'' or to a Yorkie ''get back to your whippets''.

Vali used to be a cabbie and as proven by his actions is way out of his depth as Khan's manager.

If I was as bad at (say) running a hotel chain as Vali is at managing Khan it wouldn't be long before someone told me to get back to counting bricks.

It's also a fact that Irish people have a rich history of potato eating. This goes back centuries.

It's been stated numerous times. Most recently, Alex Ariza mentioned it after the fall out with Team Khan.

What's your point? There is a clear connection between Vali and taxi driving. It was his job before he joined Team Khan. How is that like stating all Irish people are drunk potato munchers?

He ran a taxi firm, he wasn't a taxi driver.

I thought he meant - he should leave, like theres a taxi waiting for you - in other words **** off. Didnt even think about the taxi driving link

    You're splitting hairs

Yeah, the comment could easily be interpreted as such.

You'd have to be pretty precious/sad/pathetic (delete as appropriate) to consider that a racist statement.

"Asif Vali a former taxi cab owner and now the manager of Amir should focus his attentions on running taxis, while Amir's father Shah Khan, a former taxi driver for Asif, should stick to hustling fares and finding the long route to the airport, while leaving the boxing game to those who actually know what they are doing”.

Ariza mentioned both. There's still the link to Vali and taxis. Whether he drove the ****ers or not is irrelevant.

there's a taxi waiting outside means the same as 'get your coat'.

Big difference, owners of firms usually don't do the menial work. So the taxi waiting outside is irrelevant.
