It looks as if Earnie was going into his shell and about to suffer a Quarry-type stoppage until a possibly lucky punch dramatically ended it. A rematch would have been interesting. Hmmmm. Am I missing something?
He was either "going into his shell" or he was firing an uppercut with brutal KO force. I can't see how he managed to do both. Maybe I don't understand the term "going into his shell" though.
