I thought you were disagreeing with the fact I had Calzaghe winning :huh

I'm not anti-Eubank, I'm a Eubank realist.... He wasn't that good. He was NEVER that good. He did NOT decline after the second Watson fight and Calzaghe was under-par when they fought, and would beat any version of Eubank handily.

    Ah.....that felt good.....

Ah okay...I'm a fan of both, but I do think Calzaghe would beat any version of Eubank. My close split win was just more out of respect than logic.

But that said...I think Eubank fought like he lived, in a pretentious manner. If he fought like the fighter he really was, I believe he would of gone so much further, and would have had a chance against anyone around that weight.

He wanted to be the thinking man’s intelligent boxer, when I truly believe with his chin, and heart, a different style would of served him so much better.

aah cheers for the link VW, much appreciated! Just watched it & it cleared things up nicely for me! I didnt have SKY back then, so missed out on this simmering little rivalry!
Great characters the two of them, & sorely missed!

"everyone can call him king for a day, but when he walks past me he should bow his head like the little man that he is"

    classic Eubank:D

I don't think Eubank was as great as was/is made out, but Calzaghe never really fought Eubank. It's a bit of a joke to make out otherwise, the guy was more or less retired, fighting at larger weights, in middle eastern show bouts and hadn't won a quality fight in several years.

He was widely seen as shot.
