Mick is always good TV. It was a decent fight, and DeGale was about a million miles off being world class.....
Entertaining fight, always felt DeGale was in control. He seemed to make the fight harder by working off the ropes. The French lad landed the odd shot but for the most part he done well. Not world class yet, could be but lot of things he does well are countered by things he's doing not so well. Still a good level fighter, and for once a good European title fight on these shores.
It was a good fight, but Degale has zero power. But is slightly above average in ever other department. Degale is not world class, Groves has overall better ability.
Every fight is fight of the year to Mick as he has mini LCD screens etched on to his retina showing the Hagler-Hearns fight on repeat.
It's no mystery that Mick is delusional, but he's there to promote his fighters. It was a pretty good fight, Degale is European level, always will be IMO.
As a promoter hes paid to say these things but imo De-gale lost that fight and even though it reminded me a little of the Brook - Jones fight it was nowhere as good.
