Was Floyd even aware that he would lose to Dela Hoya in their fight?

I think Floyd only cared about money in that fight... Of course he wants to protect his 0 but it seems he doesn't even care if he loses in that fight...

How so? He did enough to win, and was fighting above his weight which made him look lethargic.

I personally think that in hindsight, and seeing as Floyd seems to be "shrewd" in his choice of opponent, the fact Floyd Sr worked closely and KNEW Oscar's condition, basically knew Oscar inside-out to be honest, that on this evidence they decided it was high-reward/low-risk fight when all was said and done.

Or he just followed his gameplan to the T. Let Oscar spend himself early while countering, then dominate down the stretch. That was his gameplan against Judah too. Dude is a smart fighter.

Floyd didn't dominate down the stretch vs Oscar. He dominated down the stretch vs Judah, but Floyd didn't dominate at any stage vs Oscar.

Floyd vs Oscar is the most misremembered, distorted fight in history. It was an extremely close fight throughout, and Floyd nicked more of the later rounds as he maintained his sharpness while Oscar tired. There was no domination at any point by either man. I suggest you re-watch the fight with your eyes and mind open.

He won that fight pretty convincingly by 4-5 rounds, Floyd would have won every single round at 147 with smaller gloves. DLH was still a live dog at 154 at that point and outweighed Floyd by 15lbs.

I scored that fight 7-5 for Floyd, but before the fight I honestly thought that Oscar was no longer an elite fighter. He'd lost to Felix Sturm in my eyes, got stopped by Hopkins by what looked to be a weak bodyshot. Hopkins is great but ain't exactly the heaviest hitter. He beat Mayorga but Mayorga has always been a brawler, not much skill to him.

I honestly think Roach set up a very good gameplan for Oscar, and if Oscar had a little more gas to take one extra round he would've gotten at least a draw.

I was not impressed by Floyd's performance in that fight.

Floyd for the most part swept the later rounds. It was close early until Floyd picked up his output.

De La Hoya threw punches that didn't even land. Floyd was landing the cleaner harder punches througout the night. You guys have to know that the science of boxing is to hit and not get hit, and that was on full display in that fight. I have it on dvd, and Oscar won 4 rounds at best. Why don't you re-watch it, and turn off the sound, so you won't hear the crowd screaming everytime Oscar threw a punch!
