Was foremans chin questionable ?

    Young put him down. Also, Peralta knocked Foreman down at the last bell so it didn't count, but he still went down. And he's been rocked in many fights....

    Anyone questioning Foreman's chin just don't know boxing too well.

    :patsch Yes but that didnt matter . It happened in the 70s ! So the men who dropped him whjere all super fighters ! :yep

    Oh Holy could punch with the best of them, but he was a great boxer/puncher who could box circles around you with alot of foot movement, which not many heavyweights do. Vs. Tyson he was very explosive. Just like Sergio Martinez who could box circles or knockout an opponent. Just because their ko % might of beem at 50% doesnt mean they hit any less powerful than fighters with higher percentages. Boxers like Holy and Sergio are equally conformed boxing as they were knocking people out. Regarding a young Foreman, I think once his aura of invincibilty was was shattered by Ali he just didnt get the same respect and fighters grew bolder. Stamina was an issue, but not as bad as bad as losing the mental edge he had as his fights usually didnt last long. Those were big punchers Foreman was in with.

    Old Foreman had one of the toughest chins I've seen

    Tommy Morrison's left hook was flooring people left and right in the HW division at the time, and Foreman took a LOT of those hooks like it's no thang.

    Ali KO'd him because of stamina and pulling on Georges head for 8 rounds. Ali didn't knock George unconscious because George was standing at the count of 8. Ron Lyle put George down but Lyle was a huge puncher. Lyle being a huge puncher wasn't able to defeat Foreman. George survived Tommy Morrison's left hooks,Gerry Cooney's left hook,Michael Moorer's bombs,Shannon Briggs' Cannons and the hard shots of Alex Stewart. Now,Evander Holyfield wasn't a huge puncher but he did have power and he was strong. In fact,Holyfield had enough power to TKO a certain Mike Tyson. At the end of the day George Foreman was KO'd only once just like Ali and Holmes. His chin was far above average. It's not like he was rocked by Corrie Sanders or Neven Pajkic!

    Foreman had a very strong chin................................

    Foreman lost to Ali, but not because of his chin..........Ali had a good chin also..........

    He would get so tired in first part of career (pre-comeback" that anyone could knock him down. Happened in Ali and Young fights, also agianst Peralta. Lyle was due to hard punch and Foreman being in a panic (to get fight over with quick) so much that he was easier to hit. He had at least average chin, not great one, not weak though.
