Was foremans chin questionable ?

    If anyone remembers, it was the months after that fight that Holyfeild began slurring his words.:thinkYet, somehow, 41 years later, at the ripe old age 71, Evander is still trying to get it on with a Klitschko.:-(

    They're heavyweights, you get hit hard on the chin,you go down.

    You have the odd freak like McCall but generally if tyou get hit hard on the chin by a 210 lbs+ professional boxer and you're hitting then deck

    Foreman had a good chin. Above average. Not great, but pretty good. He showed better punch resistance in his comeback career, though, and he could take punishment.

    it was probably average as a heavy goes,well substandard as far as hw champion goes,he did well to get as far as he did with a weak chin

    We're talking about Foreman here, right? Though I no longer think you are serious, I'd be interested in reading your list of the heavyweight champions that you feel had better chins since Foreman is now not even up to the standard of the average heavyweight champion chin.

    Old Foreman had better chin than young Foreman.In old days he was mentaly very strong and I think that is very important for good chin.

    In the 70s it was kinda questionable. In his later career the extra weight and muscle helped him to take shots better. He also wanted no part of guys like Lennox Lewis.

    Foreman had good matchmakers around him. If you look over record of 80 fights he only fought maybe five knockout artists. Morrison, Cooney, Bert Cooper, Lyle and Briggs.

    Without Roids Morrison wasnt even a Heavyweight,

    Cooney hadn't fought in three years and just came back for the money.

    Cooper was just out of drug treatment and done a "McCall" and quit.

    Brigg didnt have his asthma under control but still went 10 rounds.
