Absolutely, Steele looks tremendous on the film we have of him. An interesting thought about him in this era is that he was never a huge middleweight and would often weigh in under the 160 limit. With weight cutting and weigh ins further out from the fight now I imagine Steele would be competing at welterweight, as the top guys there now seem to mostly weigh around 160 or more come fight night. There's more unknowns about the situation adding in a weight cut and different weigh in rules, but still an interesting thought.
Steele was NO Different to other top fighters of his era, he was a lovely boxer, so were hundreds of others... it's the quality of film footage that shows him correctly, there are plenty of others who equally look great, or normal. but because the film quality for most is poor, too many people conclude so were the fighters, NO... again we know this from these fewer examples that were good quality, as in Steele's case.
