Definitely, I'm not saying Fury can't get back to what he once was, how would I know? Fury might end up even better than he was before, I personally doubt that but it has to be a possibility but right now he doesn't look right to me. Fury just needs time, he needs fights, the sad thing is Fury said it himself when he announced his comeback. He mentioned Ali rushing back against Frazier and said he wouldn't come back at the highest level, wanted 3-4 fights before even talking about a world title and he was adamant he wouldn't be rushed. What has changed? Something has made him forget all of that, something or somebody has convinced him he is ready now.
It looks like he's caused some tension with Davison as well: This content is protected He clearly thinks he's making a mistake which will presumably reflect on him as well. Something has happened to change his entire approach.
I saw most of the fight finally.. He looked fine.. Fury needed those rounds.. I would've advised him to get one more tune up before fighting Wilder but whatever.. its his life lol.. Im impressed at how much weight Fury has lost.. Good thing he can concentrate mainly on the strategy and all other things now because Im sure he had to train mainly for weight loss after seeing how much weight he has lost.. Its crazy
Great Post, I think you've just killed any more debate on if Fury is ready LOL When his own trainer is saying he didn't want Fury to take the Wilder fight.. it's over, nobody can argue with that, he works with Fury every day and he should know. That's ended all arguments in my opinion, Fury isn't ready and it's all rather sad and a shame, it really is.
its pretty plain to anyone who actually knows a bit about what is happening in the ring. fury looked like a shot journeyman who would get his neck broke by wilder. i never though fury was much good, but i expected better than where hes at now. fury will never get to the top again, but hes gonna talk a lot of brits into paying to watch him try.
I agree, he just looked poor. Holler put up a video (above) with Furys own trainer saying he isn't ready, I don't know what else people need to see or hear?
People will keep talking up Fury here basically because they are trying to make Wilder look better by KO'ing prime Fury not the shell that is currently coming back.. We will continue to get threads from Wilder fans saying how good Fury is bla bla bla but the truth is he isn't ready for Wilder... Killing a wounded bull...
