GGG looked invincible at one point, everyone feared him, not the same aura with Usyk

GGG was a murderous puncher at Middleweight. Uysk hits hard but it's his boxing ability not his power that keeps opponents up at night. GGG dished out some hellacious beatings to guys like Lemieux and Rosado.

I'd say yes. G had more consecutive knockouts than Usyk has fights.

I'd reckon so. Usyk was fighting guys a lot bigger than him, so his opponents went in there with a bully mentality. GGG was fighting dudes his size, and they all knew he could bang.

Different styles. GGG is a come forward, aggressive, savage punching machine with a titanium chin to boot who always came to knock his opponents out. Usyk is more of a fleet footed boxer who was more focused on outboxing his opponents but will fight coming forward aggressively when he needed to but he's not a killer puncher by any means.

GGG was feared more because of his relentless style and punching power. Usyk isn't like that. That should be obvious.

Yeah - because he was a power puncher.

GGG was feared because he relentlessly cornered you, smothered you, walked you down and nailed you with heavy, accurate shots with each throw; he'd nail you with power punches and piston jabs all night with no let. There was no breathing only the promise of a bitter, brutal KO.

Different kind of pressure than Usyk. Usyk can be a bit ofam a swarmer and has a high volume but he gives you space and let's the fight airate a bit. Usyk definitely has such a nuanced style though, he's an aggressive swarmer slash boxer with such a clever front foot counterpunching style. It's a style that takes boxing to the zenith and his style should be loved by the purists - plus he does that sweet little shuffle/ turn from ballet or something shizz.

Also, the big super duper HW +240 lbers wouldn't fear a 200 lber - or so they misjudged.

IMHO HW boxing got absolutely shown up for what it is - a bit of a barren place in terms of skill. Any other weight class where a dude jumps up in weight and is outweighed by +20% is practically unheard of.#rantover

    Oh 500%.

This thread isn't about who's better accomplished etc, (a heads up because a 1,000% the thread will head that way along with arguments)

Nobody wanted to fight GGG, to a point where most fighters dismissed the thought of GGG even existing.

Usyk OTOH, everyone always had some sort of angle where they thought they could win (mostly size and age) so he wasn't necessarily ducked, if ever in his career (you can argue fury calling him all those names was a coping mechanism triggered due to fear, but thats just 1 fighter ducking through speculation)

Fear of losing the fight would be more prevalent in Usyks opponents.

Who is "everyone" that feared him?
I saw hopeless opponents like Lemieux, Monroe, Rubio...etc fearlessly hopping into the ring to fight him.

Sturm, Mayweather, Ward, Froch, Chavez, Canelo all made spirited efforts to avoid fighting Golovkin.

Froch and Ward avoided that farce who was pummeling on the likes of Rubio? :qmeparto:
Suuuure, like Gennady "The Tomato Can Devourer" Golovkin would actually move up in weight for Froch and Ward. You really are living a fairytale.

You do realize that Mayweather and Alvarez were both smaller opponents, right? Those are the opponents the Tomato Can Devourer aimed for. Not the likes of Froch and Ward, I assure you that.
In the end, Alvarez moved up in weight and beat your hero. That remains, to this day, the Tomato Can Devourer's biggest fights to date. Against a smaller opponent. His biggest win is Brook, a Welterweight. :qmeparto:

yes. he represents a much more dangerous style. less forgiving of mistakes. that plays on your mind through camp and into the fight. youre not allowed lapses in concentration against guys like g. good boxers are fine with dangerous guys like that, but not when he can box as well as you too.

One thing is for sure though, Golovkin has a sparring record of 100-0, primarily blowing out Heavyweights.
You need one of those VR devices to fully experience the fantasy.
