Excellent HOF power is excellent power. GGG has that, i agree. Also, on the flip side, Ishida went the distance easy against Pirog and was never stopped by anybody other than GGG in his entire career, which went all the way to heavyweight. GGG stopped him with one shot.
I don't hate him, just don't particularly rate him He's no usyk that's for sure I trolled usyk fans/Fury haters, but ALWAYS admired him. He's an ATG
Dude, you take every opportunity to sh*t on 3G here. Any thread on him, any mention. And trolling? That's for internet @ssholes really. Be better
Man, it's because you like him you notice it. Did you ever call out C.j and others when they lay into Floyd or Canelo? Of course not, because you don't like them You won't agree, but Floyd will be rated much higher than GGG by the vast majority
@The Real Lance I know we don't agree on some things and we did get heated at times years ago, but genuinely other than this topic you are one of my favourite posters It would be boring if we all agreed
I don't always see everyone's posts. I'm here pretty spotty. And of course I notice those more. But Floyd and Canelo are by far more popular. They have their legions of fans to defend them. But off course Floyd would rate higher. What a dumb statement to assume on me. You've actually tried that statement witrh me before, as if you have some "gotcha" moment. Grow the f*ck up dude, you're just always so negative here with your edgy "trolling".
15 years ago I'de be happy to just troll posters. And I did so a lot. But I guess I just outgrew it. And dude, I feel the same. I see some knowldge when you aren't trolling. I'll try to just keep cool and chill. A lot of this sh*t just gets old.
I don't dispute that GGG had HOF caliber power, my guy. I just never bought the otherworldly power BS. I recall posters on claiming GGG would stop Hagler. Hagler.
A lot of those rumors stemmed from boxers who sparred with him though. They are the ones who said how hard he hit and how physically strong he was.
You know what, you don't have the amount of success he has had if he is not great. I will say that, but if he is great? Then so is Ward For the record I had him winning the first and second fight with canelo, especially the first. He maybe didn't duck ward, fair enough, but I doubt Andre was afraid of him Anyway it's a dead horse right now! Have a good evening dude!
Every fighter loses. I get that nobody wants to lose, especially to their nemesis, but everyone loses. Floyd lost to JLC and Crawford should have a draw w Madrimov. Inoue and Usyk are legit undefeated but Inoue is youngish still and Usyk had a short career (long amateur) coupled w the Dubois controversy. Nobody WANTS to lose but I dont think any fighter fears another man. Its just sport. And you cant compare basketball to boxing/UFC. You can "play those sports but you cant play boxing/ufc. Those guys are all trained.
Yes absolutely. Many people viewed Usyk as the underdog in his big fights vs Joshua and Fury GGG was viewed as the destroyer who was the boogyman of the division People fear punchers who can knock you out Not great boxers
I'm sure some got a little carried away earlier in his HBO run. His ceiling wasn't seen yet. Competetive solid wins over Jacobs, and Canelo twice is impressive though, looking at how great Canelo turned out to be.
