All ward had to do was say "Finally the smaller fighter I called out agreed to meet me at my preferred weight. Now I will show everybody who is boss." Instead he melted like a chocolate icecream left in the sun at the swings in the kiddie park. Must be painful trying to be a fan of Fraud, eh?
Who sent the official contract to sign for this fight?, your imagination or online “article”? Again, the reality is literally burying your autistic ass. Gennady “The Tomato Can Devourer” Golovkin continued to feast on the hopeless while begging Welterweights for a payday. Ward moved up in weight to fight an undefeated undisputed champion.
Ward was crying about fighting Golovkin for years because his boring ass couldn't even fill the local high school gym. Like the spoiled brat Ward is, he was the light heavyweight boiling down to 168 and feasting on little guys. Coddled child Ward insisted on having everything his way. When GGG's team finally gave in to Ward's temper tantrum of fighting at 168, Ward vanished like a puddle of urine in the sun, only leaving behind a foul stench. The reality is that Ward could have had it at 168 and instead fled like a whipped dog.
The guys who sparred with him were the ones who beared witness to these stories. Were they as good as GGG? No, they were sparring partners, their defense wasn't likely elite, neither were their chins. All they were doing was bearing witness that this dude is the real deal, that his power was very real. It hurt to spar with him. George Groves who wasn't in shape, flew in to see what it was like to spar GGG for himself got his ribs broken. Brandon Adams said he sparred GGG. He said he was squatting down low to avoid shots like he does, but quickly learned that technique doesn't work with GGG. He said when he would squat down GGG would hit him on top the head with his cork screw on top of the head shot. He said, never again, He said he literally thought that GGG'S glove was going to break through the top of his skull. There countless stories like this, not everybody is a well prepared Jacobs or an iron chinned bull like Canelo.
Sturm did. Geale gave up his WBA super belt after unifying the IBF and WBA by defeating Sturm. He didn't want to defend against the regular Champ Golovkin. The results of his later fight with GGG clearified why he avoided him. As for Martinez, looking at the time line of his fights, he was doing his thing, then he got his big pay per view vs the good but beatable Chavez. He was doing a spectacular job until he got rocked in round 12 and hurt his knee. I honestly dont think Sergio was ever the same after that. If Sergio didn't hurt his knee, i think he might have fought GGG in the future, but no way was he ever going to fight someone so dangerous after the knee injury. Either way, GGG was all wrong for Martinez.
Are Adams and Groves heavyweights?? And isn't the ability to stop "well prepared" fighters or fighters with good chins precisely the metric we use to measure a fighter's power? (Pirog stopped Jacobs) Because if your power suddenly appears more mortal against better prepared, sturdier chinned fighters, you don't have record-book power. I stand by my original premise. GGG had excellent, HOF caliber power, but it was scarcely this otherworldly, comic book power that his fans alleged.
Why should he come down from 175 and likely compromise himself? All triple g had to do was move up, make some noise and stop looking to beat up Floyd and Brook
It was discussed for 168 Adam when both guys sat down w/ HBO. And 3G never called out Floyd OR Brooks FFS. He was asked in an interview about facing Floyd, and I'm sure you are aware, Brook was a last second replacement. I know you hate 3G, but you gotta research if you aren't up to speed.
