Pretty sad how his bum boys point to his easy 3 round fights against regular Joe's in the amateurs as an excuse to why he's declined at 34. Golovkin is better off , not worse off for his extended stint in the amateurs. The goal as an amateur is to prove your a better boxer that your opponent with an emphasis on point scoring. Professional sparring is tougher than what he experienced as an amateur. He's in such good nick now because of his lengthily stay in the amateurs. Age is factor for his decline from here on out , but his amateur career is not.
I already pointed out that you are hypocrite who has no integrity just by mentioning that you bashed Marciano and Calzaghe calling them hypejobs because "they beat old men", but jumped on Joshua's dick right after he beat a 41 year old shot Klitschko. If you had any integrity, you would call Joshua a hypejob too, because using your (******ed) logic Joshua must be a hypejob unless he beats a good prime fighter. But nah, you suck his D, just because he is black. Another dumb **** is calling Golovkin "a hypejob who just got exposed" yet you scored the fight 7-5 for Alvarez. I didn't know that fighters get exposed as hypejobs after they lose a razor close, competitive fight to an other elite p4p boxer. Of course Golovkin didn't even lose, the fight was a draw. GGG just got exposed for the third time in a row, yet he is still undefeated, mind-blowing! As for who I am on these boards, don't care about that, care about yourself. Even the most respected posters on this board like KiwiMan called you a no integrity having liar. Who are you in real life? Just some dumb cannon fodder in the US Army who got a 2 year mickey mouse associate degree from a noname community college thanks to affirmative action.
Spot on. Hates on Calzaghe and Marciano but Joshua deserves all of the credit in the world, and somehow Wlad wasn't passed it at 41 with 20+ years as a pro.. I'd actually argue that it's a good win for Joshua, despite Klitschko being faded. Just as Marcianos win over Louis was also good despite the same factors.
1. GGG was getting countered and it hurt and he didn't like it and he didn't want to get dropped or KO. Brook was doing this to him but Brook doesn't have the power to stop him, hurt him yes stop him no. 2. The last thing that leaves you in boxing because of age is power. This is what everybody in boxing says from fighters to trainers. He was fighting against a fighter, that can take away power punchers by anticipating punches and moving his head and body, like Mayweather and other greats do. 3. No agreement with GB that's stupid, read above. When you fight against better fighters this happens all the time. We have angles defense head movement foot placement and body and hand placement, to take away power punches, a fighters ability to land his best punches and pressure fighting style. Some fighters use defense as offence they punch to stop their opponents from punching. look at examples WHITAKER vs Julio Cesar Chavez (TECHNIQUES) Whitaker used an defensive style to counter his opponents. This content is protected Julio Cesar Chavez - Boxing Highlights (89-0) Chávez used offensive pressure fighting style to counter and stop his opponents from punching. This content is protected Fighting a better fighter look all that great pressure fighting style and power punches, taken away and this is what happened to GGG Mayweather did it to Canelo , Ward did it to Kovalev The same thing Mayweather did to him he did it to GGG at some points in their fight. This content is protected Using Angles in Boxing This content is protected Now look at Canelo when he fights a fighter that doesn't use defense This content is protected https://youtu.be/HJ4xGuT3Zes Canelo looks like the best boxer on the planet to his fans, until he fights a fighter that can take away his offence and counter him using intelligence and great boxing ability like Mayweather the master of boxing styles and counters, defense and offences .
I'm in full agreement with you, debating with fanboys is what causes the full arsenal of pointing out majory deficiencies to come out. Golovkin is a hell of a fighter. A complete fighter imo, but I don't put him up there with the greats of all time. He was never at that level and never will be. It just so happens the the two best fighters he's ever faced he's faced back to back and it showed. Imo he lost to both Jacobs and Canelo, but he was competive and in the fight vs both and so I give the man credit. .......and I agree, most fighters are not the same physically at 35 than there were at 30, Golovkin however hasn't taken any beatings and from what I see still has a lot ot offer. Imo he was in peak condition and as good as he's ever going to be for his age. Btw, I post less now because there more fanboys and trolls around here than ever before. A great part of the problem is the moderators themselves, they're really driving the more knowledgeable boxing fan away from here.
He was tentative because he didnt want to get countered. Canelo may not be able to drop GGG with one shot but GGG was feeling those punches. Also i dont believe that suddenly GGG isnt as explosive its just that many including myself underestimated Canelos ability to take a punch. Canelos only issue to me seems to be that he has stamina issues that force him to fight in spurts. If he could maintain a consistant attack every round he problably stops GGG or any other MW in the division.
Canelo is very good defensively and didnt allow ggg to set his feet, canelo was always on the move & ggg has lost some reaction time/ speed etc due to age/wear & tear. Ggg needs to be able to set his feet to hurt you. These things!
Now look at Canelo when he fights a fighter that doesn't use defense https://y What you said, very good
From earlier on this year ''I think what people gotta realize is that, you know they look at my age now of 32 and they don't realize how long I've been doing this since I was 9 years old. That's 22, 23 years.'' --Andre Ward on his 22-23 year long pro career "People see what I do fight night, they see under the lights, but they don't see the toil, they don't see the grind, they don't see just the pain, the physical pain that you go through, not just in the fights, but to prepare and to get ready for those battles," he said. "I felt the physicality of the sport, not just in the ring stuff, but the training and the preparation, start to take its toll on me for the last two or three years and I bit down and continued to push through and at this point, it's time and I know it's time." Ward seems to agree with, um.. me lol Listen and learn This content is protected
These same people over here now talking about age are the same guys who discredit a fighter like Floyd's age but of course, age did have a reason for G slightly. As stated by people in this thread, his little 10 year career wasn't filled with killers particularly. He reached rounds 11 and 12 for the first time recently over his little 10 year span. So it's not like he was being pushed to his limits or anything.
canelos tricky head movement made him an elusive target ggg couldn't load up or he wouldn't land canelo also saw everything coming which makes a big difference by not hitting the body he allowed canelo to only worry about the head
Very simple when you are missing your best power shoots it takes a lot from you give some credit to Canelo for been elusive maybe he learned some from Lara.
Because GGG does not get a pass from most boxing fans, Canelo does. GGG must fight at a highest standards to maintain his status.
