Maby declining a bit, but canello fought on the backpedal most of the fight and was barelly risking throwing combos. Thats because of his power. Not ktfo Canelo and suffering half a robbery does not equate to being a washed up or a cheat.
A little of both and a pinch of a third option. (He's facing elite level opposition.) GGG is getting up there in years and he slowed down, this is why I believe he's relying on the Jab so much more nowadays. GGG was also holding his punches afraid of getting hit with counters. He didn't want to take any unnecessary damage especially from someone like Canelo. And lets not forget Jacobs and Canelo are very very good fighters. Far better than the top 10 MW contenders he was beating. Brook is good but i don't believe he is on the same level as Jacobs or Canelo.
Yes thats true but you can't compare two guys just because they faced the same guy... Especially when it is at different times and different divisions... Anyway PBF and GGG have nothing in common in regards to their styles, boxing history nor the physical attributes, all totally different.. You need to compare GGG to other pressure fighters someone earlier said Kostya Tszyu who was pretty similar in style to GGG and he was pretty much done by this age.. PBF has based his whole game on not getting hit where GGG will take a him to give one that alone is going to lesson his career...
Canelo was very conscious of GGG's rip and whenever he wasn't throwing punches he had his right elbow tucked firmly against his ribs. GGG was looking for that opening repeatedly. But it just wasn't there.
It's simple, it's very very hard to hit Canelo... he has such great up body movement that even GGG can't tag him with his Mega shots... I think that's the primary reason
