Hagler, at his best, pretty much had every tool in his arsenal. Great jab, terrific footwork, good power, stamina, toughness, granite chin, aggressive, can box, seek and destroy, or straight up street fight.

Would you say that a peak Hagler was the most complete fighter in MW history, more so than Monzon? To me he has to be one of the most well rounded fighters in recent history. Not just at MW but of all time.

@Flo_Raiden I'd say he's probably one of the most complete fighters in history.

He was definitely very well rounded. So yeah he’s a candidate.

I favor Hopkins due to his size advantage but Hagler was indeed a complete fighter for any weight.

The 'Greb could beat any MW ever despite no video evidence' crowd has been oddly silent since the passing of MMH, I'm sure they will be chiming in eventually

That Robinson guy was pretty well-rounded too, which detracts nothing from Marvin’s greatness.

Now add to that ....good head movement...could pick punches .......could fight on the inside...and to top it all off he was ambidextrous

And to think ...that this was once a 16 year old kid who got his ass kicked at a party ...and decided that he should he should probably learn how to defend himself

True but Robinson was really a Welterweight. At 160 he didn't have the same strength and power although he was still able to beat the best.

I would say Hagler and Hopkins are the two most complete fighters MW. I'd throw Ezzard Charles in there as well even though he is mostly thought of for his LH and HW work.

It's called having some decency. Can we not just appreciate a legend?
