I would put this in the top 5 of PPFs toughest fights. Now Im not saying Hatton was in the best 5 fighters PPF ever fought, but I think in terms of how hard he was made to work meant it was a tough fight for him. And the fight defo did a lot for Flloyd in terms of winning respect from those less familir with him as the fight showed he could deal with a tough scrappy fight, and was just as good as fighting on the inside , holding when needed as wel as his already famous defensive skills and lightening speed . Thoughts ?
roughest...yes...toughest no. Hatton just didnt do anything but bull rush in and when inside he still got punished....he did land a couple solid shots though....but nothing about that fight was tough for Floyd it was just a rougher fight than we normaly see him in. But then again ONE of his toughest maybe seein as how Floyd hasn't really had any tough fights outside of Cas I.... Castillo Oscar Hatton
first few rounds seemed close n hatton looked good at being the aggressor but mayweather quickly figured him out by the 4th and looked cool and calm doing it, it was like watching a matador taming a bull, evreybody wanted the bull to win but the matador had to many skills. toughest no way, i thought he struggled more with de la hoya than hatton in all fairness
The top 3 of Mayweather's best item his resume includes Hatton. That's how his resume looks like. Hatton on Pac's resume is in the mid to bottom, around top 9. Fact. period. Not even debatable.
Fair point, although it could be said a rough fight is a tougher fight than most. Flloyd rarely gets hit clean anyway so not getting hit but being a bit roughed up is still a tougher nights work than his usual nights of not getting hit OR roughed up
Nope. Desperate attempt at Mayweather-hate from a *******. Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo (twice), and Oscar De La Hoya are all better wins on his resume.
Corrales, DLH, Castillo, Hernandez, and in 2 weeks Mosley are all ahead of Hatton. Infact Judah and Hatton are probably tied.
lol...yea i thought about that a lil while after i post then went and edite it...definitely see ur point.
Stop kidding yourself. That stage of ODLH's career and Hernandez aren't better than the undefeated Hatton. Fact. You have a case on Castillo and Chico, that's why i said Hatton is within the top 3.
