Was Hatton really "shot" against Pacquiao?

After collazo exposed hatton, and made him run back to 140 i knew it was a matter of time before somebody knocks him out.

Hatton has been a light welter since his mid teens, he had no business at welter

he was not shot against pac, a bit of a druggy at this time, and he was badly prepared (he would have lost anyway) but not shot by any means

Hatton was asked "Are you willing to fight the winner of De La Hoya and Pacquiao?" He responded "Absolutely, what else are we in the game for if not to fight the best?" He also said before the fight "Nobody has ever beaten me at light welterweight and I truly believe nobody can beat me at light welterweight"

well Pacquiao sure proved him wrong, but Hatton deserves credit for taking that fight and over-all, he is EXTREMELY under-rated as to what he was capable of at his best

He takes the fight against the reigning p4p number 1 (for the second time, this time at his best weight) fights dumb and gets knocked out, and gets ridiculed for having "one of the worst chins in boxing history".

With attitudes like that maybe it isn't worth taking the really big fights, because if you lose, then you were never any good to begin with

How can Hatton be underrated when he didn't have elite skills and his best win is Paulie?

I think you can debate about Hatton's skills to some extent but it is hard to discredit PAC.

Ultimately Hatton just lost his mind in that fight and totally ignored the prefight strategy.

PAC tagged him early and often so he was already accumulated a decent amont of punishment before the KO.

Tough to say how badly he declined cause he did not give himself a chance

If he wasn't shot before the Pacquiao fight he sure was afterwards.

Floyd ruined his confidence. Hatton changed his life long trainer after Floyd dismantled him. Say what you want, Hatton wasn't the same.

If he was shot he would have lost to Malignaggi and Lazcano. The only thing that clearly had an affect on him was the KO loss to Mayweather. Not everyone returns with full confidence and energy after a knockout.

hatton was on the way down before floyd, he peaked against kostya and VVarren messed up slowly draggin up the way he did

he was definatly never the same after the floyd fight,, and as for the pac fight i think the way he over trained himseld definatly didnt help, you could tell on his ring walk he was a dead man walking and didnt want to be there, he knew he had little to no chance that night
