Agreed.... Hatton was talking trash and didn't even win a round "convincingly". And the way he got knocked out is pure ownage.

While I agree with your first 2..Barrera-Hamed and Calzaghe-Lacy..those could've been the top two OWNAGES in the past 20 years!!
On that note Hatton was thoroughly exposed and OWNED albeit not as horrible as the top two but very close:goodIt was never remotely competitive...

They had to. They had been showing Floyd fights for years. He was fighting in a title eliminator in order to fight Gatti in a big fight. There was no way they weren't going to show that fight. Although one sided, it was an entertaining bout.

If you watched carefully, you'd see this is correct. Ricky was able to implement successful stall tactics, but was never competitive. "Competitive" means he was competing well, meaning it seemed reasonable he could win. This was never the case. I bet my ENTIRE Bodog account on Floyd and was never the least bit nervous during the fight. By the eight round I was thanking myself for NOT having bet on Floyd by UD for those +130 odds, b/c it was obvious Ricky's stalling had taken it's physical toll on him and now it's time for a ***** SLAPPING ALL THE WAY TO HELL!!!!1111one.

    Thats right mate NEVER..REMOTELY...COMPETITIVE..
A round is 3:00 Mins so if two of those is Ricky hugging Floyd, most of the other minute being clowned by Floyd..That's called OWNAGE
The number of power punches landed flush by Hatton could be counted on 2 hands..sorry about your hero being exposed as a wrestler:patsch

    in a sense it was.

Hatton seriously underestimated PBF. They thought he was a weak poof and Hatton could manhandle him, push him around, attack the body like he does that bag and get a KO. He seriously underestimated PBF's strength and stamina. PBF trains harder than almost any other fighter out there, spars for 15 rounds and doesnt get fat between fights.

I think Hatton knew he was in deep **** after a few rounds when his wrestling tactics werent working, he wasnt landing **** and he was getting some elbows and counters in return.

It pains me to agree but you are right in your analysis. I just think he believed that floyd could not hurt him with one concussive punch. I mean it took a cuminaltion of punches and the frequency that they landed on hatton was the difference. But saying that hatton made floyd answer questions because we haven't seen floyd be that aggressive in a long while and hatton did land some punches what earned floyds respect.

Exactly they thought PBF was a ***** and Ricky would bully PBF around the ring and bang away at PBF's body until he quit. They vastly underestimated his toughness, power, strenght and will to get down and dirty when it counts. From round 4 on Hatton knew he was ****ed.
