Wow. He called him out?!?! How disrespectful. I've never heard of a fighter calling another fighter out before!
    :patsch

I don't seem to remember him calling Floyd "a *****" in that interview though....

DLH vs. Vargas. Vargas talked so much **** before that fight. Never stopped running his mouth off. DLH stood toe-to-toe, and knocked him the **** out.

The way it ended was heart breaking....Ricky Hatton being knocked out. His girlfriend crying in the stands......Ricky Hatton looked shocked and hurt in his interviews.

Floyd Mayweather psychological kept himself together...the pressure he was under was unreal.

together.....everyone...from fellow boxers like Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya to sport analysis.

Where all putting him down before the fight and saying...that he will loose.

He put up with allot of insults on the press tour from British fans...and he said he would make them pay.

He sent home over 30, 000 fans, and he made them all pay.

Yes and he did, he knocked out Ricky Hatton.

    Owned him!

    Floyd Mayweather Junior

What fighter, when faced with the pound for pound best on the planet isn't going to get himself into a mindset where he will beat his opponent?

Would the fight have been as interesting if Ricky said "You're right Floyd, you're going to kill me in that ring, I don't know why I'm not just doing this for the 20 million pounds I'm going to make out of the fight"

It's not exactly 24/7 material now is it?

In an individual sport - Where the only other people in the ring is the guy trying to take your head off and a referee - The mindset of assuredness is not only essential but fundamental to having the right mind set for the fight.

I would argue the way Hatton fought was the way he spoke - With self belief and he backed himself and did what he said he was going to do.

Except for the whole part about walking through his punches LOL

I will say that at least when Hatton says what he'll do he backs it up with his actions, unlike say PBF in the Baldomir and DLH fights...

He said he was going to do Floyd Mayweather.....he was doing slit throat gestures at the weigh in.

He said that Floyd Mayweather is a dead man..

He didn't back them actions up...because Floyd Mayweather knocked him out.

Floyd Mayweather always says he will win by any means necessary...and up until now.

Floyd Mayweather has backed that up.
