MY GAWD!!. . . . . . .Some British fans are like American Trump supporters and will not accept the fact that their man is a phony and a fraud. One more time they shelled out money to watch this con job while Haye walked away with a paycheck when he should be bagging groceries at a local supermarket.. . . I can't wait for the fevered calls for a David Haye vs David Price super-mega event . . . .the loser becomes the most beloved boxer in British boxing history (surpassing Henry Cooper and Frank Bruno).

This, he has to fall short with it when he throws or it looks like it wont fully extend or no snap to it

He looked terrible loosening up in the changing room, no confidence in his Achilles or his shoulder it seemed. Every movement was thought of to prevent something happening or snapping when he got in the ring. He had more than an Achilles problem I thought

it is irresponsible to enter a ring with an undisclosed injury, there are millions of dollars in legal wagers at stake, in what should be a contest between 2 healthy professionals. his trainers, who im sure know the full extent of his limitations, could have gotten all their relatives to bet against haye, and made a killing off all the uninformed who bought all the hogs haye was selling.
i dont think he came in injured and he was well enough to pass a physical, but haye is glued together in a couple of places, and those places are going to come unstuck under extreme stress. when you get clipped, it can short circuit communication between your brain and your nervous system and muscles. sometimes you can recover in seconds, sometimes it takes several rds, many factors are involved. i think haye put his tendons and cartilage under extreme stress when bellew put him on rollerskates and he was trying to support his overweight body on legs he couldnt control.

Well most of knew his comeback was fraudulent anyway, those two fights he had on Dave channel against two nobodies with puffed up records was a complete joke and many on here called it for what it was so injury or no it doesn’t really matter as Bellew knew he past it and conning the public,he even said as much so we shouldn’t be surprised.

His injuries might never properly heal anymore. He knew coming in and just hoped he could land something big (enough) in the early rounds, so he could go on maybe getting a huge Joshua payday out of it.
He shouldn't have been in that ring, but the lure of once again becoming stupidly rich by conning the public is hard to deny.

I've only seen the highlights, and skipping trough rounds a bit, but it had a Maravilla vs Cotto feel to it.

No one knew what sort of state Haye was in, including Bellew. As far as anyone knew, Haye might have been 100%, injury free, better than ever.

Bellew took a risk going into that first fight, and I respect him greatly for sticking to his guns and not letting the overwhelming pressure as the underdog get to him. He had a game plan and he executed that plan to perfection. That takes a hell of a lot of stones and self-belief, whatever truth emerges after the fact. He didn't just turn up on the night and hope he got lucky, as a number of posters seem to be suggesting in the aftermath.

Did he fight a fully fit David Haye? No, I don't think anyone is suggesting that. But that doesn't mean Bellew shouldn't get credit for his achievement. He could have easily given in to the pressure any time during the build up, lost his bottle and got knocked out in the first. Haye still showed he could throw vicious punches in both fights, albeit ones easily avoided by any decent fighter on their game. It's to Bellew's credit that he kept his nerve in the rabid bear pit and did what he set out to do.

The win shouldn't be used as evidence for Bellew's "sublime skillset", or anything like that, but it's a definite plus point for his ridiculous levels of self-belief and courage, and those are the things most Bellew fans rate him on anyways, and are praising him for here.

Think maybe he was physically fit but mentally he seemed to be all over the place. Never thought it at the time but just wondering if his calm demeanour before the fight was due to a feeling of foreboding.

Look at him on the pads, he never threw the straight right with conviction.

Look at him going foward, he weight was all on the front front so his leverage and balance (and therefore speed, timing and power) was off too.
