The worst chin I've ever seen was Errol Christie's, an English middleweight who was otherwise very talented.
Hearns had a duel issue..... Chin and legs.......... If Hearns was tagged hard, he generally wobbled..... All in all, his chin was below par as was his ability to take punishment......... Hearns could dish it MUCH BETTER than he could take it..... WORD! MR.BILL:good
Mantequilla added another excellent point about fighting the bigger men too. I totally agree with you per will. I also agree Hearns never really came thru that initial round with Hagler whatever the reason. His legs were funny thereafter and never recovered at all.
"Hearns was shook up by every solid right hand Ray landed" Do you think that's a fair assessment? I do.

That is fair but he was never in really bad trouble until nearer the end of the fight. benn a while since I have seen it though.
Hearns had an average-good chin, it was a weakness when compared to his other attributes no doubt but when you look at the attributes of the man, that still didnt mean his chin was bad. If he had a chin like Hagler he would be thee hardest to beat fighter in history probably, he could hold his own vs anyone inside despite his long arms & outbox anyone from distance, he was actually a boxing master, certainly offensively, a brilliant fighter, one of the best ever no doubt, give him Hagler`s chin & he whups the ass of every other fab 4 member.
