He had pop no doubt, but leonard took his biggest shots all night, hagler didnt flich after about 30 haymakers found their mark.duran was sparked out but,the size disparity come fight night was immense.
lol What alternative reality do you live in? Leonard did not take Hearns best shot during their first fight and Hearns was the only person I saw that actually hurt Hagler. It also should be taken into account that Hearns broke his right hand on Hagler's head in the first round. As for Duran, how many other fighters put him face down, regardless of the weight division? Hearns is one of the top pfp punchers in most ratings.
Don't expect any objective discussion to take place on here. Any fighter that fought over 20-30 years ago, is automatically a mythical God that had no weaknesses and is considered heresy to question their abilities.
How was his boxing ability weak? He was outboxing Leonard until the fight was stopped and he won a decision over Benitez, two master boxers.
Hearns power was huge but sometimes guys you would expect him to take out would go the distance like DeWitt and Barkley part 2.strange.
You don't know **** about boxing that much is evident. If Hearns was fighting today no one would be able to touch him. The guy could box his ass off with ATG one shot power.
I rate Hearns very highly. Part of that high esteem is due to his freakish punching power. He had bazookas for fists. The punch he put Duran with ... man ... my arsehole just about sucked itself closed when I first saw it. I thought I just saw a man die. Naw, say what you want about Tommy, but he could blast.
I think Eddie Hearn has excellent power. One shot on Al Haymon or Bob Arum would send them to the hospital
