What about Norris' effort of putting up a fight against Jackson. It was commendable for certain. Address the rest of the post.

All right I will address the rest of the post.

From the people I talked to and from all the interviews and articles I read, Leonard was many times favored. Perhaps if Hagler were seen in the sparring sessions that I had seen, Leonard would be favored.

The week leading up to the fight it was media madness as usual so you should expect that I had to have seen many interviews and from what I saw, many knowledgable people came forward and picked Leonard by decision including Thomas hearns and sportscaster Jim Hill.

No one I knew or heard of picked Norris to beat Ray Leonard.

Regarding Duran that was no great feat. You must be aware of the article I read Duran taking off 40 pounds for the fight, 10 in the last three days alone. Where's the glory of beating an out of shape 29 year old lightweight?

Not so impressive is it? And with the problems he had making weight it is likely that he did have stomach cramps.

And please stop bringing up the name of Benitez! He does not impress me. Don't you understand this? I saw him lose to Curry and Harold Weston. I have the tape. So this means he lost before and after losing to leonard.

As for your comments about Leonard putting up a fight against Norris, that is simply a joke! He was utterly outclassed from the first round on. Just which round did Leonard put up a fight? I had him winning the second until Norris grew weary of his presence and decided to whack him one. From then Norris Leonard posed while Norris pitched. Every time Terry drilled him it looked like Leonard was going to start crying.

He's really just a twerp who was never interested in anything but fighting old men. I hear he even beat up Danny Bonaducci in a studio (which can be seen on youtube) which only confirms everything I said all along. If he really were fighter of the decade, he wouldn't have bothered waisting time on Lalonde or these meaningless rematches with hearns and Duran.

Duran took off that amount of weight for the Hearns fight, not the Leonard rematch to my knowledge. Your confused.

How is Norris going to stand up to a prime Leonard? Norris' chin wasn't great. And a prime Leonard would be faster with his hands. And make no mistake about it, he'd be hitting Norris more often than he did in 1991. His punch resistance would more than likely be stronger.

    Norris aint in Leonard's class.

Rooster is never confused, only his enemies are. Duran put on the 40 + pounds after the Leonard fight. It was partying that did him in. Read Randy Gordon's no mas article.

Better to ask yourself how would leonard cope with a man like Norris? He just didn't have the experience to deal with fighters this fast. He'd only wind up getting himself hurt again.

Benitez and Hearns? And it must be said Hearns' long range boxing ability surpasses Norris' in the same area. Hearns did outbox Leonard for the majority of the fight, but Norris could only dream of doing a similar job. Norris liked to fight inside more often than not, and guess what, thats exactly where Leonard would kill him.

That's interesting because judging from the tape I have, he did a much better job than Tommy. Seriously, Ray just never fought anyone with this kind of speed. While leonard was good at rumbling on the inside Terry handled him well on the inside as well. Terry was the complete package.

With a chin like that Terry could never be the complete package. Get a grip.

Yes their is a difference between a past prime Leonard and a prime one.

Just like their is a difference between a prime Hagler and the past prime one. Ali, Duran, Holmes and so on.

Not likely-he could barely knock out that shrimp Howard in nine rounds.
