I think Holyfield was doing steroids at a time when very few boxers were doing them.

He ran out of gas against moorer and supposedly had a heart attack.

In Bowe-Holyfield 3 he also ran out of gas.

I think in those days people were not as educated about steroids and he was taking ones that affected his cardio.

Was he a juicer that flew under the radar?

    same reason he
is allowed to head butt people

in easy and plain to see ways

but the refs pretend not to see it
when everyone in 50th row can

Tyson was no different, Holyfield was just leveling it out.

WE NEED TO CHANGE THE EXPECTATIONS HERE TO AVOID UNNECESSARY THREADS TO SPAM THE FORUM. SO I SUGGEST THE FOLLOWING:

from now on, all fighters are assumed to be using steroids or have used steroids unless they have taken some form of random drug testing, which would then mean if they did do drug testing that the probability is lower but not completely ruled out.

so instead of innocent until proven guilty, its guilty until proven innocent.

Evan Fields is a dirty hormone cheat, he would have had about 20 losses if it wasn't for getting a needle in his ass

While he never failed a test neither did Marion Jones. The evidence against him is pretty damning, it was very likely he was on steroids. It would explain his heart problems after the Moorer fight as this is a common result of steroid use due to the sudden increase in body mass being a strain on the heart.

Dude, when that big pharmacy in Florida got raided, they found in the records a man with the name "Evan Fields" who shared the same address, birthday, and phone number as Holyfield. When the phone number was called, Holyfield answered ffs.

This was a pharmacy busted for giving out steroids, why is this even a debate whether he used them or not?

to my concern almost every one have or still using them under the radar. Most of these high pro athletes did not get caught unless snitched out.

    This :deal.
It's too much funny, " Evan Fields"!! I mean, with all the names....
Anyway, peds are around since '60s, and used already by the major part of the semi-pros and by a lot of gym users....
Peds are the standard in every sport. If you don't take them, you are only disadvantaged.
"Field" simply took too much of them, because being small-sized he desperately needed as much mass as he could pack, same as Mike Tyson.
Actually, Tyson vs Field was like watching two exploded bodybuilders clashing at each others... one of my favourite matches.
I still like Holyfiled, though, because he was big-hearted, brave, and generally respectful, even if he used his head as a third fist (that infamous low-blow / headbutt combo...).

Well if Holyfield was on steroids it's hard to imagine why he ran out of gas since steroids improve nearly all atheltic abillitys.

    Strongly disagree with that part.

There was wide speculation about Holyfield long before the Evan Fields debacle. It would take a pretty damn primitive radar for Holyfield to fly under it

You need to be insanely dumb to even fail random drug testing.
People need to stop being so incredibly naive to think any professional athlete nowadays is clean.

The only reason people like Floyd force random drug testing is because it gets more expensive for the other guy to use custom/personal blends, which gives him a edge.

Honestly there is no such thing as a clean athlete anymore, people need to stop living in this fairy tale bubble.
