Well, i assumed '60s because it is a date i am sure of, but i don't dubt they vere around way before... i need to start an accurate research, but i've heard there have been a lot of studies during the world wars on peds to enhance soldier's performances, and it is well known that most of the major scientific finds have been made for war. Since the 30s ...... :-(( not illegal till the '80s... :dead
No dude :nono Some "unnamed source" said that (no name because he doesnt exist.) He then proceed to identify holyfield via voice patterns. I think that guy was on the OJ jury
Well, the "Evan Fields" incident means we know he took steroids, I guess it's just a question of when and how long he was taking them for? He gets a pass because he's such a warrior and is perceived as a nice guy. If he was less popular, it'd be a different story.
This is undeniable proof, IMO. And Holyfield was my favorite fighter in the early to mid 90s. I'm sure a lot of athletes across all of sports were on PEDs during that era, but it still doesn't make it right.
Yes he was juicing, plus he was always touted as a devout Christian so that helped it get swept under the carpet. A doctor once commented that Holyfield's testicles were the size of peas due to his roid use. Also, when a journalist called a phone number for one Evan Fields, to inquire why steroids were being sent to that address, Holyfield answered the phone. **** Holyfield. He is one of the most over rated boxers in recent memory. His best wins are all against guys who had an off night, and he was a steroid user.
Good post except for the "custom blends" thing. There are no custom blends or new magic creations that give an extra advantage. Some cooks/company's may combine two PED's in a mix like TEST and MAST but that is the extent. The actual reason fighters like Floyd force additional testingis threefold. 1.) The guru that manages his PED schedule tells him that he is the best and additional testing will complicate the opponents preparations because their guru lacks the knowledge and experience to get the timing right. 2.) He has inside connections with the testing agency and is not subject to the same scrutiny. 3.) Does not really want the fight and wants to win via public opinion/perception. Regarding Holyfield; He was one of the biggers juicers the sport had ever seen. Yet gets a pass for obvious but reasons that the modern social climate does not allow one to mention/discuss.
Testosterone was synthesized in 1935, by the early 1940's experimented with on a small select group of German troops. Steroids were not in sports till the early to mid 1950's
Arrogance, top athletes are used to getting away with everything, and don't think they will ever get caught.
Why do you dick suckers always try and bring Tyson into this? Holyfield was a roiding ****** cheater and Tyson wasn't
