I guess you and a couple more in this board are in the DLH fan club. Question... Do you like him more with or without the fishnets? Anyway you put it Trinidad is an ATG, in my most humble opinion.

He had no Chin and was exposed as a one dimensional fighter when he fought elite competition.

Same with Tyson. He came back for the money and the dedication to the sport wasn't there anymore. Just proves to show people that hard work & dedication & the love of the sport triumph over fighting just for money.

    :happy

At his prime he was a beast pure and simple. Not many beat a prime Tito.

    :good

Well.....true but even a Tito fan like myself has to admit DLH won that fight.

Tito could've quit in the Jones, Hopkins, DLH, and Wright fights but he didn't. A case can be made that he was a sore loser but that's it. His problem was that he couldn't handle lateral movement(DLH and Hops) and had problems with boxers (Wright).

try and do some research before you talk.. the only issue tito had when he fought hopkins was that hopkins camp thought titos father was using too much tape... the tape in question was put on titos wrists.. not on his knuckles or any other area.. it was a stupid argument from hopkins camp to try and create controversy and get on titos camps head...

    :hat

clearly you dont know wtf you're talking about by starting a stupid thread like this.. you should be banned from posting again

You should provide a link to the article or kindly stfu... doubt that any serious journalist would bring this up since (to my understanding) it was a handwrap allowed in most states, just not in NY, so I wouldn't think of it as a big advantage but mostly a way of Nazim to play a li'l mind game right b4 the fight started, it might have worked, we'll never know!!!

Negative , his double wrap was a technical flaw illegal in NY not elsewhere

he also took serious one sided beating when he retired but always came back to face former champions every time so

    stfu thread stater

Consecutively held world titles in 3 divisions from '93-'01. 20-1 in title fights during that period. That kind of success doesn't occur very often..

top 15 all time Welterweight. And his run from DLH to B-hop was one of the most exciting in boxing history. His boxing skill showed more in his "Showtime" run at Welter. Tito had a long jab and knew how to time the right hand, he could also move. By the time he got to HBO he fell in love with his left hook.

He was already on the way out of boxing by the time he fought Hopkins. He talked about retirement after the Vargas fight for ****s sake. He tried to get a Hopkins rematch that never materialized so he decided to retire.

Indeed. By the time he had climbed to the top of most P4P lists he had already started to slip, not so much physically, but he wasn't the same boxer. He abandoned the jab, didn't go to the body as often as he had done previously, etc.

And for those who say he couldn't deal with "boxers", thats such a cop out. He didn't fight Mayorga 42 times for Christ sake. What you guys fail to mention is that you had to be a great boxer, one of the very best in the world to give Tito probems..And to the thread starter, educate yourself and watch some vids cause that cat from Cupey Alto brought it every time. Only thing that ever stopped him from coming forward was that right hand from Hopkins or the bell to end a fight..
