Was it a cheap shot/sucker punch? Or did Floyd do the right thing?

Before that, did Cortez brought them back together and said "let's go"? Yes or No?

I'm 100% positive if it was Floyd that headbutt Ortiz and Ortiz the one to knock him out that way, you would be supporting Ortiz.

There are three terms a ref uses, Stop, Break, and Box, Lets go is not one of them

Whatever, If Ortiz didn't know what he meant by "let's go" after he brought them back together, then he's a moron.

Cortez is an idiot. its his job to be aware of the fighters at all times. when you deduct a point, the non-guilty fighter should be put into the neutral corner while the penalized fighter is held and made aware of the one-point deduction to the judges.

    cortez did neither.

the fight should have never resumed until cortez informed the timekeeper to restart the action and then both fighters should have touched gloves with cortez's supervision.

cortez also failed in this regard.

cortez should never referee a championship fight ever again.

yes, but dip**** cortez had already stated "let's go" prior to checking the timekeeper.

there are two people at fault here for the way the fight ended.

ortiz for his headbutt which resulted in pbf retaliating

cortez for not properly officiating the fight

pbf has little or no culpability here. he did what 90 percent of what anyone else would have done and that was to let ortiz know...

    "homie dont play that game."

Almost exactly the same scenario took place in the Mosley fight. Mosley got called for a foul, Kenny Bayless resumed the action. Mayweather and Mosley were chit chatting and Mayweather popped him with the same combo, albeit Mosley blocked the left hand because HE WAS PROTECTING HIMSELF AT ALL TIMES. What was the difference here? Ortiz is chinny and couldn't take the shot.

Cortez says 'let's go', yet, still isn't aware of the situation in a boxing ring? The guy should be sacked immediately.

touch gloves if you want; give your opponent a hug after you've intentionally headbutted him? you deserve to get koed.

    it's boxing not tiddlywinks.

I can't believe that the ones calling it a cheap shot outnumber the ones that don't. I mean c'mon man! Cortez declaring "Time In" should be a clear enough indication for both fighters that they can/may resume fighting.

T'was because of Victor's absent-mindedness that made it look like it was a cheap shot. Victor's mind somehow got stuck in the moment of the headbutt that he kept on apologizing and completely forgot to MOVE ON and get back to fight mode.

I'm not hating on Vic but he just really had that one coming (and he should have seen it coming because... read below).

Floyd was just being Floyd. Why the surprise? Didn't he pull off the same stunt w/ Mosley and Gatti as what other posters here has already mentioned?
