A poster here with an ear in Pavlik's camp has stated Kelly had started preparing for PW. It WAS that far along. That much I am 100% confident it true. Youngstown isn't that big and I have kind of pieced together who this guy is. I won't say more than that. That gives the rest of the story credence for me. Kelly wouldn't have started preparing for Paul Williams if they didn't think it was a done deal.

Man, it sounds good, but who knows what the truth is. It could've been a Pav fan who wanted to defend his boy. But honestly, I think Pav didn't want the fight because he would've been accused of beating on a WW, and I can defeinetely understand that.

No re read the post. When I said 100% confident, I meant it. His information has ALWAYS been solid. And what would being a Pav fan have to do with defending Pavlik in this case? :huh You will have to explain that too me. It didn't matter whether he wanted or not. He was preparing for it and they came up and told him, it would be Hopkins instead. He was simply stating a fact before the Bhop fight. But, believe what you want. Believe Goosen is a saint and Arum is a serpent if it suits your needs. This stuff isn't really hard to figure out if you pay attention.

The reason a Pav fan would defend this is so ppl wouldn't think Pav is ducking PW, which I dont even think. But this dude you're talking about, we dont know who he is or how honest he is, and who's to say he didnt really get this info from someone else? Thats all I'm saying. But for the record, I honestly dont think Pav was scared of PW, hell he fought JT & Hopkins!

Paul moved up to get some fights....nobody worht while wanted to fight him...plus he wanted to prove he wasn't just a 1 weight class fighter...the he could fight anywhere from 147-168....If margarito moved up to 160 he'd be fresh meat!

That's true, because Margarito is really nothing but a Welterweight and always has been, despite his newfound overnight image as some outrageously big dude created largely by people who picked against him in the Cotto fight - people who needed reasons for being wrong.

It has to be between no.1 and no.2. Simple as that.

Even more of a reason to see a Margo-Williams rematch....though I don't think Paul can puit up a good fight at 147 anymore, he's clearly struggling with the weight now.

How can you say he's clearly struggling with the weight when his last fight at 147, he weighed in at 145. Be fair, if you say that about PW, give us some reasons to believe you.

I would imagine it has far more to do with Arum not wanting Williams to outwork Margarito yet again.

    Did someone say cheaply?

Mosley doesn't give anything cheaply. Whoever wins this fight deserves it imho.
