I don't think it's scripted and I think that the fight is legitimately off, but I think they will eventually fight in fall or winter.
Maybe, but I just don't understand the point really, it's as big as the fight is going to be. Mayweather literally can't fight anyone to boost his rep, and he doesn't need to seeing as he's the champion (even if he is to be going for Pac's belt, he's still the king of the castle whichever way you want to look at it) and Pacquiao... well he's flattened Hatton, Cotto and De La Hoya. There is, also literally, NO other names he could add to that list that would build the fights rep even further, unless you want to go higher weights than Mayweather in which you're just moving on altogether. It has to happen, and it will happen. But the only thing I can think about coming from this is that Mayweather brings an omen, or is just a demanding twat. He can brag all he wants about stepping up and beating an un-prime De La Hoya but even if you want to blame Mosley for it never coming together, that fight wasn't made and it should've been. They've followed eachother's weight classes very closely and the question has popped up too many times to count. **** "oh, Mosley was worth loads, why would he fight Mayweather" or "Mosley's tooth was hurt", boxers back in the day would see through this ****. Would you see Frazier crying about a splintered paw instead of fighting Ali? **** no, they'd get in the ring and they'd fight, even if it was lamb to the slaughter. I guess I'm blaming Mayweather for the ****, but it's just general promoting and money, it's pathetic. You're making enough money, when will people realise your cash flow is good enough and you can just ENJOY what you do. Remember? Back in the day, the sport you TRAINED to get in to because you were passionate? It's all paychecks and undefeated stricks, total bull****. [/rant]
