Was it inappropriate for Floyd to announce his good deed?

Not inappropriate per se, but it's not clear why he'd announce such a thing. If he's doing this solely to be a good person, then no announcement is necessary. If he's doing it for PR, an announcement makes sense from that perspective to let the whole world know what he's doing. Of course, if I were a family member of Joe and I didn't have money to pay for a proper funeral, I wouldn't care much about Floyd's motives.

And why would he need props for this? If this is just a PR move then let's just be real and call it that. Congratulate Floyd for stirring up attention for himself and move on.
