Just to throw it out there-he's only 26. From what I understand, most men don't typically hit their physical peak until between 28-32, and with modern sports science and training that can even be prolonged. So he could very well still be on a big upswing.

Lockett is painfully slow, that's why pav looked faster. Keven McBride would look like a speedtser next to Lockett.

His hands definitely looked a little quicker tonight. His overall body speed was the same though.

He looked a bit faster but that could just be the contrast from Taylor to Lockett. What I was more impressed with is that he didn't just use a come forward 1-2, so many were calling him one dimensional but he really did his work. Best punch was a right hook to the body in this fight, hurt Taylor with it last time as well.

And if you caught Loew's remarks in the corner, Lockett did EXACTLY what they thought he would do. Part of the one dimensional crap comes from the fact they put together a plan and stick to it. It has ALWAYS worked. Well, so far. This would be the test for JC. But you can talk about JC adapting, etc, he will do NOTHING NEW that won't be on the films.

He looked his normal style, it's bad that Lockett was able to get in on him as much as he did really. Didn't look fast to me at all, what were you guys watching?

You people on this board were mistakenly persuaded by delusional Euro fans. Pavlik has enough hand speed to give most fighters trouble. Just don't listen to these Euro fans. They bring no objectivity to the table. I've said this before and i will say it again, it's going to take someone really special to beat Pavlik.

Like i said before, you really shouldn't even comment on Pavlik or Taylor because really, you and TFFP bring no objectivity to the table when it comes to analying these guys. Yeah, Pavlik and Taylor are way below the level of Kessler and Calzaghe huh? :nut :nut :nut

come on man, the American guys on here are, in general, every bit as bad for bias...if not worse.
I like Pavlik, but think Calzaghe beats him. I thought Taylor would beat him both times somaybe i'm still underrating Pavlik though.
