Think Holy was a bit bigger than a cruiser by that time, lol

Holy doesn`t punch harder than Ruddock did also.

I agree, and it shows that power isn't everything.

Yes but he is not going to become a dynamite puncher, just because he has put on a bit of muscle.

Canelo punches harder now than he did in his first bout v GGG and Holy clearly hit harder in his second fight v Bowe than in the first when his punches had little effect, also Foreman tok his shots in `91, he clearly had more bang after putting on the muscle. Holy could put all his weight inti his shots because he punched correctly meaning if he put more weight on he would punch harder.

It doesn't really work that way.

A fighter might punch harder when they step up, because they no longer have to cut weight, but adding muscle mass makes minimal difference to a fighters punching power.

The cruiserweight version of Holyfield would definitely have had enough power to stop Tyson.

The only question is whether he would have been strong enough to hold him off.

But he stopped much better fighters than Ruddock. Holyfield made up for his ‘lack’ of one punch power with speed, timing, mixing up his shots from angles and pure tenacity. If Ruddock fought Wilder’s opponents he would probably have the same record. His left hook was immense.

Wilder is better than Ruddock was, Ruddock clinched too much in his fights with Tyson and was a one handed fighter too often.
