Having won 38 of his first 40 fights by ko he almost had Gomez like numbers but when looking at context? Also Hamed, Barrera and Morales hit super hard too...

    Opinions?

If talking strictly power, why not the best?

Because Wilfredo Gomez won all his fights there by knockout..like 25 or so fights..I know Gomez also won some fights at Bantamweight through..But yeah I think Garza is close either way.

Quite a few scribes opined Garza was the heavier hitter at one point. I'd be inclined to agree. I think Wilfredo's power was mildly understated over the years in here, strangely enough. Garza isn't near as good a fighter, but i think he packed even more power than Gomez. He had real one punch KO power.
