Was James Toney SD over Dave Tiberi A Fair Decision?

    it's a point either way. tiberi had reason to be pissed but he wasn't robbed.

    toney landed well with basically every shot and tiberi threw a lot of meaningless punches.

    it was a pro boxing decision that toney didn't really deserve. but calling this a robbery makes you an idiot.

    Once you get the fat off at your lightest weight division, you will look about the same. Toney would never look out of shape at middleweight. Mentally and electrolyte wise he was likely thrown off. Tiberi was likely far more difficult than he anticipated and he likely realized it from round one. In a rematch I'm sure Toney would have clearly beat him.

    That makes sense. Toney fighting middleweight was touch and go. He had to diet and make weight perfectly in order to be at close to 100% .Once he went to 168lb he was more confortable and consistant, and his true ability came out, unless he was clearly being undisciplined like before his bout with Jones. Against Jones he had another Tiberi moment, but if a fighter loses, its not the end of the world. It tells a story.
