i got the feeling some of his fights he diden't get great notice for, and i also thought the loss to jones was unfortunate, i suppose he would have been difficult to match, he was a good front foot southpaw, moved his head well, not an easy fighter for anyone to tackle.:good

Not world class but not far off it I'd say.

Hard to say what really constitutes 'World Class' isn't it. The JMW division has really been an up and down division in terms of the quality.

I certainly feel he could have picked up a World Title, or at the very least put on a cracking fight and show in challenging for one! Really big shame he never got his chance, but I suppose in the case of Jamie Moore it shows titles aren't everything as he will be remembered for a very long time despite not fighting for one of the prized 4 belts.

Agreed, his training regime made him very very strong at the weight for a brief window and he looked world class - but it had gone just over the top when he fought Rhodes, looked drained to me

Massive fan of Jaime Moore and if the fights happened at the right time I certainly believe he could have been a world champion and should have been merited in the world class bracket.

Jamie was held up for long periods in his prime due to his fights with Baysangurov (his ticket out of domestic and into European level) being postponed time after time. Here's a reminder of that:

A good, powerful, gutsy fighter who showed tremendous heart in many battles - I think if he'd gotten to European level faster he'd have had a better shot. I believe he could have achieved a similar level to Rendall Munroe. It wouldn't be unheard of for him to possibly even have pulled off a Ricky Burns-esque upset, had the circumstances been just right.

Biggest hindrance to him though was his weight - I think he was always a more natural Middleweight rather than Light Middleweight and would absolutely kill himself to make the weight. I think this sapped both power and punch resistance, and was possibly a factor in the Rhodes fight. By the time he did go up to Middleweight for his final fight it was too late.

A shame, I think he'd have lit up many main events as a strong European champion and good world title contender.

For a short time, when the weight making wasn't too much, yes he was.

In the Rhodes fight, his possible inability to do 12, definitely played on his mind and effected the fight.

    Very good fighter, great bloke.

He was a good fighter but European champ was as far as he would have got imo.
