    As a young light heavyweight, he had a reputation as an excellent puncher back in the day.

    At light heavyweight he was definitely a puncher, but his hand problems held him back.

    At heavyweight he is harder to gauge, because most of his fights went the distance, for one reason or another.

    You do pick up the occasional piece of testimony that backs up his power at heavyweight.

    For example Joe Louis said that he hit harder than Max Schmeling.
