when I look at an prime guzman , an 129 pound terror, than I see a fighter which came with more speed and maybe even better defensive reflexes than an floyd mayweather and yet by jumping weight to fast or I don't know what it was. he never faced an big name opponent, he never got to stardom sadly with all that talent..:-(

    what happened!?

Wowwww........ you must not have a lot of reference of history. He's a waste of talent, but biggest waste of talent EVER? **** outta here!

You've got guys like Riddick Bowe, Ike Ibeabuchi, Eddie Mustafa Muhammed, Michael Nunn, Tony Ayala, and even Valero who were bigger wastes of talent than Guzman.

And LMFAOOOOOO @ Guzman having better reflexes than Floyd.

The stupidity on the general forum will never die.

I was a big fan of his when he was at 122-126...Looked like he had a ton of potential.

His career was by no means terrible...would have been good for him to fight some bigger names but had he got the fights against the elites he just would have lost them.

3 best guys he fought were Barrios, Funeka and Soto...he struggled against 2 of them, flat out lucky against Funeka...Did look cash against Soto though, might have been more a styles thing there.

from the standpoint of pure talent. guzman had more than the guys mentioned. bowe and ibeabuchi were great heavyweights but they weren't not super skilled. ayala and nunn well that's another story. valero didn't have the speed, neither the reflex and defence of guzman, but sure more power.

than look at an highlight of guzman, how he moves away from punches...you don't have to be an boxing expert to see what he was able to do. he moved away better from punches than floyd and was faster than him!

was extremly tall and guzman is very small by height, also the weight wasn't were he should have been. its hard to say, stay at 129 when you groing into another weight division, but around 125 he was a force who would have defeated the best in my eyes.

6'1 you ****ing kidding me, that dude was an middleweight by size.

Waste of talent. He could have gave Pacquiao a little bit of fits in his Featherweight prime. Now he's a fat **** getting horrible matchups.

Pac ducked him like no other after the Soto fight! Even Roach admitted it.

  13. Almost as big a waste of talent as Anthony Small.

a waste indeed. him and valero, they always keep me wondering how they would have fared in bigger fights.

He is a big waste of talent. Sad to see, but he isn't the first one to waste there talent away. Had Zab Judah got with a good trainer early on in his pro career one can only wonder where he would be at right now.
