    According to boxrec it was, but most people say that Langford never fought for a world title

    I think that the title was theoretically on the line.

    People probably overlook this fight when making the claim, because it happened when Langford was a teenager, and it was not planned as a major title defence for Walcott.

    Sources mostly agree they weighed in at 142 pounds at noon for the fight.
