Was Jones - Tarver I a controversial decision?

    I watched the fight a couple of days ago and felt Roy won it no doubt. Surely not a dominant performance but he did enough to win. On the Jones - Tarver 3 countdown they said that it was controversial so i viewed it. Maybe the reason for them to feel that Tarver won was becouse we didn't see Roy being the superhuman version of himself and clearly outclassing Tarver:huh

    had it roy by a couple,the only reason it was controversial was because it wasnt the usual rjj one sided beating.

    Tarvre was more competitive than we imagined so people got confused. It was an easy fight to score for Roy.

    I had Roy winning 7-5 but the rounds Roy won, they were unimpressive. On the flip side, the rounds Tarver won were very impressive. So in that sense, it seemed like Tarver gave away rounds.

    Roy won by 2 rounds, it was just that Roy never been in a war like that. I also feel like the weight drain didn't help him at all. Tarver also said it was an excuse from Roy until he lost to B-Hop :yep

    It was close. But, for the first time of his career, Jones showed heart in the last rounds.

    I'm not so glad. I am a big RJJ fan. I see the 1st Tarver fight as the end of the golden years of a momental boxer.
