Joshua was a very very bad average champion.

Tyson's reign has been worse. A lot worse.

Josh fought Usyk. Twice. Once was a voluntary (wrap your head arond that, haters).

The two men that Tyson has beaten as champ he has had a trilogy with both! Lmao. That is a joke. And then he fought AJ's leftovers from 2015. AJ turned Whyte into a meme. Tyson hasn't done anything since. So we have...

An Overrated puncher (90 mins and couldn't do it)
A man with 17 losses (which you had to pay for)
AJ's leftovers (from like 8 years ago)

And this is the greatest fighter of all time? A sub average reign, if I'm being kind...

He negotiated a rematch clause he wasn't entitled to. Threatened to vacate the belt if he didn't get one (despite saying he wanted to be undisputed). Then he activated the rematch clause, but tried to get step aside. Eventually he took the fight, 11 months later.

Doesn't sound like he volunteered at all.

"how could he beat martin and parker but not usyk" surely isn't a genuine question lol?

Joshua was a decent champ in a poor era and was quite obviously never an elite boxer. He was always happy to try and unify titles and was for a period an entertaining fighter to watch.

However he has two big flaws which were always going to be a problem at the top end of this sport, namely a lack of mental strength and he doesn't like getting hit.

These two things have combined big time since Klitschko/Ruiz to give us the broken shell of a fighter we have now. Usyk took the last remnants of his soul.

Dave Allen could beat Anthony Joshua, he just needs a tune up, he did a better job on Browne than anyone else, with the exception of a former Aussie rugby player but they're all hard, rugby's for proper men, bash each other up and have 8 pints together after, get hammered like Dolph in Universal Soldier when he has one too many. Yeah Joshua is rubbish, couldn't even knock out a guy called Franklin, Franklin is a name for pussies, that guy in Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the wheelchair, Franklin, he gets wasted by Leatherface, I bet Joshua couldn't beat Leatherface, I bet he'd run from him rather than engage, gunshy, scared of a mentally handicapped guy with other peoples skin on his face waving a chainsaw. He's so rubbish, is Anthony Joshua, that I reckon he wouldn't fight Rocky Balboa if he came out of retirement because a computer said that Rocky could beat him.

Smornin - I love that Jim. I take you are from somewhere Yorkshire way?

I think he was just a belt holder personally, he needed that Wilder fight after Wlad and that could have made him…..but Hearn decided to **** around. However I don’t think Wilder wanted the fight at that time either. He’s not looked like the old AJ since the start of the Parker fight, which was bloody awful and one that I also stupidly paid for on PPV.

It’s right up there with the Keith Thurman gifted belt resume.

Bloody hell Jim (I appreciate you weren’t asking me this question tbf :)), you know why he didn’t it’s because Usyk is a master boxer with amazing ring generalship. The others may have been bigger, but they were crap.

I think the $6 million they paid Martin helped.
