A bit of both. Zhang clearly hits like a truck but Joyce wasn’t this invincible juggernaut that he’s been billed as.

Joyce’s age has caught up with him and as well as being slower than ever his once durable chin has now left him .

Both. Joyce definitely has a strong chin but people overrated it horribly. He took some good shots against Dubois and Stiverne but he was never really caught with their best shots.
He took Parkers best shots but Parker is much more fast than strong, he was never a huge puncher to begin with.

Zhang is a tremendous puncher, and on top of that is very explosive. Joe had never faced anybody with that combination of speed and power before and it showed. Could eat decent shots against slow guys like DDD and Stiverne but a guy who had the speed and smarts to catch him when he didn't expect it, was always gonna hurt him.

His chin is solid, this punch would have killed an average man. Zhang could have more pop than Wilder.

Just watching that ko again and I think he would have knocked out any man on the planet with that.

20 stone bloke, loaded the shot up from behind his back and Joe comes forward onto it. It was like a free shot at a punch bag.

And to be fair to Joe he was only a second or 2 from making the count.

Massive puncher and granite chin. Respect to both

    Both for me.

A man at 21st is going to damage anyone if he lands and Joyce was always going to be finished once his face was damaged in a fight.

He has a very sturdy beard indeed. I don't care how good your chin is you can't keep eating flush bombs again and again from a 20st 8lbs savage punching man mountain like that.

Zhang was 287 lbs. I don't know who you are, you can't take a power punch from a man that large.

Joyce can take punches from smaller men with no problem, but Zhang's power is on a different level compared to the likes of Parker and Dubois.

That was a perfect shot from a one of the hardest punchers in the division who possesses savage power in both hands and he softened Big Joe up with lots of flush bombs throughout.

Zhang is DANGEROUS man. Lol He not only cracks hard but hardly ever telegraphs anything. He’s sneaky with it

I mean it's heavyweights. Is there such a thing as a solid chin at heavyweights when you take a flush right hook like that?

Yes. That's what makes him even more dangerous, in addition to his size, power, and skills he's also sneaky. He set that brutal right hook up with that distraction left to the body. Really smart.

You see the way he ‘walked off’ with it too?! Lol :D

KO of the year. I also liked the way he just kinda casually nodded at the booing crowd as he walked in :) Kind of like “Umm hmm. Ok. No problem.”
