Was Juan Manuel Marquez "Ducked"

pac and his team knew it was a very close fight. that's why they were very happy when the very close SD win for him was announced as they knew it could've easily have gone either way.

only a JMMoron will score those remaining 22 rounds (w/o jmm being Kd'd) all for jmm and claim a supposed "schooling" even on the second fight. pathetic... what a sore loser/cry baby just like your idols, beristain and the marquez bros. in those post-fight press conferences after vasquez-marquez 3 and pac-jmm2. :verysad:-(

 

JMM was avoided by some. Its really not a new thing in boxing. For different reasons too, and not just because of cowardness. You will be avoided if:

if you're waste of time
if you are a dirty fighter
if you dont deserve the shot
if you wont bring anything to the table (financially)
if you dont know how to negotiate
if nobody wants to see you fight
etc...

JMM being avoided is not on a single basis that he is a good fighter.

After Morales lost the rematch in the fall of 05 he took almost an entire year off and the whole time was to prepare for the 3rd Pacquiao fight in the FALL OF 2006. atsch

Hamed flat out said that he did not want to fight Marquez and ducked him. His team offered a fight with 2 weeks notice. :rofl

Barrera did not want him as his mandatory and was willing to drop back to 122 lbs.

Morales never spoke of him.

All 3 guys fought less skilled and less known fighters around that time. :yep

Exactly, I"m not sure what the time frame was, but you're exaclty correct.....at the time, Hamed was getting criticized for not stepping up and fighting a real opponent, the mandatory #1 which was JMM......an opponent that alot of boxing scribes even back then thought would beat Hamed, which is why Hamed was ducking him.

......the sad part about the whole situation was HBO's shameless part in protecting Hamed from JMM. HBO covered for Hamed and said that indeed JMM had been offered the Hamed fight and on HBO, but that JMM had turned it down......the thing that HBO left out was that JMM was being given a very short amount of time notice to prepare, and its why he turned it down.

.....anybody that knows an ounce about how promoters operate, know that it was an offer by the Hamed team alongside HBO, meant to save face for Hamed for petitioning the alphabet groups to bypass JMM as his mandatory defense.

When you're given a very short time of preperation to face an Hamed, of course the offer was made to be turned down......thats how even HBO operates, and finally folks around today have caught on to their shenanigans as there are alot of people in the boxing world criticizing HBO now for favoring certain fighters and promoters.

Its a pity, once HBO when out of there way to criticize alphabet groups of their corruptness, but it is they now who have become even more corrupt than any of those groups.:-(

 

1) Nobody gets to be #2 (#1 coz pbf retired) just because he is popular. Being popular is a by-product of his goodness in the ring!
People watch you, pay you because you are good. IF YOU are very
very good then you become popular in your field. Nobody gets to be
#2 JUST because he is poplular!

2) It's been close half year an STILL you can't accept the fact that your boy JMM lost to PAC. I wouldn't be surprised that 50 yrs from now you are still whinning that JMM lost to Pac!

3) You are again INSUNUATING that the JUDGES were either corrupt or incompetent. But NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER imagined the judges were currupt or incompetent when JMM got "W"s. Yup that's for sure! The judges will be judged if you DON'T like or ACCEPT the outcome of the fight!

4)Have you EVER questioned yourself that you ONLY think that the JUDGES were corrupt/incompetent whenever YOU DON'T LIKE the results?!

One things for sure! If JMM gets a "W"! yUP! the judges are very competent and not corrupt!

 

Here's another truth WHICH is hard to SWALLOW!

If JMM has a big draw. The promoters can ALWAYS offer attractive $$$ to the opponent and probably OFFER JMM's opponent the boxers biggest pay check.

Boxers will line up and take their chances wether they believe they can beat JMM or not but if somebody (promoter) can offer something really big.

Do you still believe JMM will be ducked?! Plain and SIMPLE!

JMM does not have a big DRAW that can make PROMOTERS run AFTER him at the same time offer the opponent/s huge sum that they can't refuse!

ADMITT IT! PASTE IT! POST IT!

Busineswise, JMM does not have a DRAW in the crowd. PERIOD.

IF JMM fight is a sure BLOCK BUSTER! Promoters will run after him and the promoter can OFFER the BIGGEST pay check to WHOEVER is JMM's OPPONENT!

Another thing which make you DRAW crowd or audience is your RESUME'.

ASK yourself aside from his "W" at the latter stage of MAB's career and a GIFTED "D" he got from Pac!

Who else DID JMM beat (spectacularly) that you are now willing to pay an x amount to watch JMM. Take away the fight was MAB, who else if LEFT aside from PAC?!
